UPDATED A dry, sunny evening added to the great atmosphere for the opening parade of the 2009 Crossmolina Community Festival.  The streets were lined with locals and visitors who viewed a very lively and varied number of floats. Many organisations and businesses went to great lengths in their preparation and presentation and in turn their efforts were acknowledged by the response from the crowd. Applause and laughter followed the parade from St Mary's Park into the town, across the bridge and finished in Chapel Street.  Photo courtesy of abaca photography The through traffic to Bangor Erris and Belmullet was halted for almost an hour but the Gardai and the stewards managed to minimise the disruption.
