U21s lose out

Crossmolina and Swinford drew 1 - 6 each in the County U21 Championship in Moygownagh. Swinford lead at half time by 1 - 5 to 0 - 3, a great second half fight back with the introduction of Brian Kearns at full back allied to great performances from Joe Keane Barry Murphy Jamsie O’Brien Paul Duffy and Brendan Birrane who scored the goal after moving into the attack

The Deel-Rovers U11 boys recorded their second win in the North Mayo league with comfortable 7 - 9 to 1 - 3 over Knockmore in St Tiernans Park after leading by 4 - 5 to 1 - 3 at the break.

Mayo Minor footballers have booked their place in the All- Ireland Final against Armagh on Sunday September 20th  Cillian O’Connor one of the stars of the semi-final win over Down with two goals has many relations in the parish his mother Mary was Preston from Ballyscanlon

Crossmolina Tigers Girls Basketball Club has resumed on Thursday evenings.
5pm to 6pm U12s 
6pm to 7pm U14s
7pm to 8pm U16s
Ladies Basketball is on Tuesday evenings at 8pm and Over 16s on Friday evening from 8pm to 9pm in the Crossmolina G A A centre.
New members from all surrounding areas are most welcome

Sympathy
Martin Gilroy R I P

The death occurred peacefully at the Homerton University Hospital, London on Tuesday 1st September of Martin (Matt) Gilroy, Stramford Hill, London and formerly of Keenagh, Ballina. Burial took place in St Patrick's Cemetery Stramford on Friday last after Requiem Mass. Martin is survived by his brothers Edmond and Dan, Keenagh, Peter Derrada, Newport and a large circle of relations and friends. May he Rest In Peace.
