The death occurred on Monday 16th March at the Sacred Heart home Castlebar of Ann Syron nee McDonnell 8 New Line Castlebar and formerly of Trista Boughdoon . Her remains were removed from Thomas St Funeral home on Tuesday evening to the Church of the Holy Rosary burial took place in Castlebar new cemetery on Wednesday after requiem mass Ann is survived by her son John Castlebar, daughter - in - law Amanda, grandchildren, great-grandchild, sister ‘s Josie Hegarty Lahardane, Bridie USA relations and friends may she rest in peace

The death occurred in Tuam on Monday 9th March of Frank Stockwell All-Ireland medal winner with Galway in 1956 when he scored 2 - 5 a record that still stands for a sixty minuets final. Frank was pre-deceased by his wife Pauline nee Lynn Dooleeg Bellacorick in 2000 is survived by his son Francis daughters Fidelis and Marilynn, daughter - in - law Olga sons - in - law Tony and Kevin, grandchildren, great-grandchildren relations and wide circle of friends may he rest in peace.

Fundraising Night

Is being held on Friday night 3rd April in Hiney's upper Deck in aid of a poverty stricken Orphange in Nepal. Music by the Bumble Bee raffle and fun auction on the night. Refreshments will be served. Music starting at 10 pm tickets €10. Please support this worthy cause and help make a difference
