Died in DublinThe death occurred on Saturday June 20th at St Columcille's Hospital Loughlinstown of Gerard (Gerry)Cafferkey Bray Co Wicklow and formerly of Keenagh Ballina. His remins were removed on Monday morning from Collier's funeral home, Old Connacht Avenue Bray to St Fergals Church Ballywaitrim Bray for 10 am mass after which Gerry's remains were removed to the Church of the Holy Souls Keenagh. Burial took place in Crossmolina cemetery on Tuesday after requiem mass Gerry is survived by his wife Una Nee McGuinness formerly of Lecarrow Crossmolina brothers -in - law, sisters - in - law nieces, nephews, relations and friends may he rest in peace. Julia Hackett RipThe death occurred on Thursday June 18th at Mayo General Hospital of Julia Hackett nee Donnelly Four Winds Rehins Ballina and formerly of Carrowkilleen Crossmolina. Her remains were removed from McGowan's funeral home on Saturday evening to St Muredach's Cathedral with burial on Sunday in Leigue Cemetery after requiem mass. Julia was pre-deceased by her husband Sean is survived by her sons John Dublin, Pat and David Ballina, Emer McGuire Drogheda, Daughters - in - law, son - in - law Brother John Donnelly Abbeytown Cross molina, Bea Crean Moyridge Nursing Home Ballina, nieces, nephews extended family, relations and friends may she rest in peace. Minister O'Cuiv Busy EveningEamon O'Cuiv Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs had a very busy schedule in the Parish of Crossmolina on Monday evening last officially opening the Keenagh Loop Walk at Bellanaderg Bridge Boghadoon with newly elected Chairman of Mayo County Council John Cribbin Ballyhanuis also in attendance. The large crowd were treated to refreshments, Tea, coffee, and home baking by the local lady's. It was then on to open the Crossmolina Loop walk around Gortnor Abbey at the play ground on the Mullenmore Rd. Next stop Enniscoe House where the Minister Eamon O'Cuiv and the Chairman John Cribbin once again officially opened the Enniscoe loop walk around Enniscoe House also in attendance were Minister of State Dara Calleary and local councillers Eddie Staunton and Gerry Ginty after wards the minister was taken on trip around the estate on the old Bord Na Mona bog train. The large crowd and guests were treated to refreshments in the Heritage Centre. Minister O'Cuiv later met the Kilmurray Group water members in the Community centre and promised to support them in what ever way he could to get one of the most essential Farm and house hold needs water.
