Crossmolina and its environs are to benefit from
major road investment to the tune of €2.5m over the course of the next
12 months. Under the provision of grants announced last week, •2m will
be spend on work at Moylough, •450,000 at Dooleeg and a further
•100,000 will be allocated to the Crossmolina-Ballina Road route
selection process. Fianna Fáil candidate Dara Calleary has welcomed the
investment.
“This is a significant investment in the
Cross-molina area and will result in huge improvements to the
Crossmolina-Bangor Road in particular whilst the investment in the
route selection process for the Crossmolina-Ballina Road will allow us
to further this project during 2007.
“I’d like to pay
tribute to the officials and the local representatives, past and
present on Mayo County Council, who have worked very hard on these
schemes. I will continue to support their work by pursuing government
investment in the Crossmolina area.”

after Requiem Mass. John was pre-deceased by his wife Mary (nee Deane)
and is survived by his sister Mai Condon, Navan, Co. Meath, nieces,

Thursday,
February 1, sees the beginning of the salmon fishing season. The
