Befriending Service and Repair Service for Senior Citizens

MAYO BEFRIENDING SERVICE (CROSSMOLINA BRANCH)

Crossmolina Branch will operate a phone befriending service for the elderly or those living alone every Wednesday morning from 11am to 1pm starting Wednesday 4th November. This service is totally confidential and voluntary. Application forms are available in the church, library, health centre, medical centre, and from the Enterprise Centre. For further information contact Noelle on 096-30935 or if you have forms already filled, drop them into Noelle at Enterprise Centre.


REPAIR SERVICE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Under the Community Services Programme, Crossmolina Community Council provide a Care and Repair service for Senior Citizens. This service consists of minor repairs to doors and windows as well as lawn/hedge maintenance service. For many elderly even changing a light bulb can be difficult and dangerous task. For those who sign up for the Befriending Service there will be regular phone contact and if any work is required, the information can be passed on during a Befriending call. At all other times contact can be made via the Community Council on 096-30935. This number is included in the list of IMPORTANT PHONE NUMBERS distributed already to Senior Citizens under the Community Service Programme. For those who may not have received the list of numbers, they can do so by ringing 096-30935 (daytime)
