There was no winner of the Crossmolina lotto jackpot on Saturday 31st October. The numbers were:

Garvey Cup
Madeline Keane’s team won the annual Aidan Garvey Memorial Cup league in St Tiernan’s national school recently. In a great contest in which the score line does not give a fair reflection of how close a game was.

Pioneer Readoire
Competitions will be held in Crossmolina Parish Hall on Saturday 28th November. If you want to take part on behalf of Crossmolina Pioneer Centre in figure dancing, solo singing, group singing, group disco dancing, musical solo, musical group, recitation, novelty act. Anyone taking part must be a member of Crossmolina Pioneer Centre.

Sympathy
Vincent Kearns RIP

The death occurred on Tuesday 3rd November of Vincent (Vin) Kearns in Northampton and formerly of Carrowkilleen  Crossmolina. Burial took place in Northampton. Vin is survived by his wife Eileen , sons Gerard and Brendan, daughter Helen. Sister Teresa Donnelly, Carrowkilleen, grandchildren, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relations and friends.

Gortnor Abbey leaving Cert Class of 1989 - 20 years reunion on Tuesday 29th Desember starting at 6pm with tour of Gortnor Abbey and afterwards upstairs in Sticks Bar. One Wall In Door Handball is on every Saturday evening in St Tiernans Sports Hall at 6 o’clock come along for a good evenings exercise and fun

On Ballyboden Team
The Ballyboden, St Enda’s Hurling Team that won the Dublin senior hurling title had a big North Mayo connection with the Ryan brothers Alan and Paul’s mother was Ann Moran from Kilroe, Killala and are nephews of John Moran, Lecarrow, Crossmolina. Paul scored 1-11 out of a 1-16 team total in their win over Craobh Chiarin.
