There was no winner of the Crossmoloma GAA local lotto jackpot on Saturday night October 3rd 
The numbers were 1 - 20 - 30 - 32 
Lindsay Carroll Moygownagh matched three numbers and won €150
The draw took place in Sticks Bar
This weeks jackpot is €11,900. Many thanks for all your support

 

There was no winner of the Crossmolina GAA club lotto jackpot on Saturday night October 10th 
The numbers were 1 - 9 - 18 - 27
Three punters matched three numbers:
Margaret Toner Mullenmore North Crossmolina, The Lynn Family Lake Rd Crossmolina, David Keane Abbeytown Crossmolina each win €50.
The draw took place in Reilly’s Bar

U15 League

Crossmolina U15 team collected two valuable points in the County Laegue away to Ballaghderreen on Sunday week after leading at half time 1 - 6 to  1 - 4. The final score was 4 - 11 to 2 - 6.

Hospice

Mayo/Roscommon Hospice has thanked the Crossmolina branch for its hard work in organising their 10th annual fundraising dance at which P.J. Murrihy played in Hiney’s Upper Deck. €10,000 was raised for local palliative care services

Down's Syndrome Collection

Many thanks to all who contributed to our collection in Crossmolina recently and to the collectors. The amount raised was €1,009.40

Christie Brogan
The death occurred on Sunday 27th September of Christie Brogan London and late of Pulladoohey Crossmolina. His remains were removed to St Anne’s Church, 363 Kennington Lane on Wednesday evening 7th October with burial on Thursday after requiem mass, in adjoining cemetery. Christie is survived by his brother Joe London, sisters Bridgie Moyles Sligo, May Lynn Rathbane  Crossmolina, sisters  - in - law Imly and Mary Brogan, nieces, nephews, relations and friends

Paddy Clancy
The death occurred on Saturday 3rd October at Mayo General Hospital of Paddy Clancy Knockbrack Castlehill Ballina. His remains were removed from Hiney’s funeral home on Monday evening to the Church of Our Lady Kilmurray with burial on Tuesday after requiem mass in adjoining cemetery. Paddy was pre deceased by his wife Nora is survived by his son’s John Hillingdon , Jimmy  Twickenham and Padraig Carrowcloughy, daughter's Maureen Goodwin Surrey, Bridie Sweeney Carrowcloughy, Phyllis King Waltham/Abbey, Una Judge Cuilagurrain Castlehill, brother James Kinlough Leitrim, sisters Teresa Farrell Grange Sligo, Winefred Kelly Leamington Spa, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Catherine Jordan

The death occurred on Tuesday 13th October at the Sacred Heart Home Castlebar of Catherine Jordan nee Murphy Derryhillagh Castlehill. Her remains were removed on Thursday evening from Leonard's funeral home Laherdane to the Church of our Lady Kilmurray with burial after requiem mass on Friday in adjoining cemetery. Catherine was pre-deceased by her husband Tom is survived by her son’s Paddy Laherdane, Tom Bofeenaun, Eddie Parke Castlebar, Michael Kilmurray, Martin Derryhillagh, daughters Mary McDonnell Streamstown Crossmolina, Elanor Loftus Cloughbrack Bofeenaun, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

My Community

Congratulations to 12 year old Shane Ruane, Comminch, Castlehill who has had his story about where he lives in Kiluurray chosen from over 3.000 entrants in a nation wide competition for inclusion in ‘There’s no community like my community’. The story is published in the Londis ‘Write up my Street’ book. The book is now on sale in Londis shops and book stores nation wide. Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to Barnardos Childrens Charity.

 

Ballet and Hip Hop

Mayo School of Dance have classes on Thursday nights in Crossmolina Parish Hall
4pm to 5pm 1 to 2 level ballet (4 to 7 year old )
5pm to 6pm Junior Hip Hop (5 to 9 years old)
6pm to 7pm Third and fourth level ballet (10 years plus )
7pm to 8pm Senior hip hop (10 years old plus)

Crossmolina Badminton club has resumed on Wednesday evenings.
National schools 5th and 6th classes 7pm  to 8pm
Secondary  schools 8pm to 9pm 
Adults 9pm to 10pm

Flu Vaccine at Deel Medical Centre

The annual flu vaccine is now available. Flu clinics are Wednesday 2.30 pm to 4.30pm and Friday 10am to to 12.30pm.
No appointments necessary

 

Blood Bank

The Blood Bank would like to thank all who donated blood recently. A total of 131 donors attended the Crossmolina clinic. Many thanks to all who helped with refreshments, the Hall management and all who attended. 

 

Old Mobile Phones

Crossmolina National school are still collecting old mobile phones and handsets. If you have any you can leave them into the school or to Kevin Loftus drapers Main St. Many thanks to all who have given in their phones already.
