UPDATED The Traders Race, usually held on the opening night of the festival, had a successful transition to Monday night. Of course the dry evening was an added bonus but the atmosphere was high on anticipation as the local businesses competed against each other in a highly charged event. Photos courtesy of abaca photography ![]() Chapel Street was closed off and lively commentary by Enda Judge guaranteed the participants were encouraged and the crowd was kept well informed. ![]() Those gathered were given an added show when Kevin Connor drove the Fire Brigade down the street and proceeded to hose Liam Cawley with water - much to Liam's surprise but to the delight of the crowd. |
