Under the watchful eye of Sean Davis and his qualified coaching staff, including Pat Sharkey, the former Ipswich Town and Northern Ireland player, the participants were involved in a programme of shooting, dribbling, heading, control, passing and small sided games entitled Spanish League, Premier League, Champions League and World Cup.
Speaking at the presentation of awards Sean thanked the parents and children for supporting his academy. He had high praise for the discipline, good manners and soccer ability shown at the Academy.
Sean also thanked the committee of Kilmurry Sports and Social Centre for the wonderful facilities at the venue, Kilmurry Youths Soccer club for their help in making the four day course such a success, the local press for their coverage of the event and Madge and Maureen for the hospitality at Kilmurry House B&B. Sean also thanked his coaching staff, Pat Sharkey, Barry (Baz) Davis, Chris Curran and David McGinley.
Sean promised that if the demand was there he would be back in Kilmurry again next year. Late Patrick McGoff
The death occurred on Thursday, August 10th of Patrick McGoff, Tubber-more, Crossmolina.
His remains were removed from Hiney's Funeral Home on Saturday evening to St Tiernan's Church.
Burial took place in Cross-molina cemetery on Sunday after Requiem Mass.
Patrick is survived by his wife Josie, daughters Angela and Caroline, sons David, Northampton, brothers Vincent, Tubbermore, William, Lecarrow, sisters Angela Daly, Mullenmore Street, Mary Nealon and Bridget Hickey, Tipperary, sons-inlaw, daughter-in-law, broth-ers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relations and friends.
May he rest in peace.

Crossmolina had an easy win over St Bridget’s in the county intermediate semi-finals at St Tiernan’s Park. The Deel Siders led at half time by 6-6 to 1-0. The final score was Crossmolina 7-15 to St Bridget’s 1-6.

KILMURRY U-12S WIN LEAGUE
Kilmurry U-12 boys soccer team have won the Mayo Division 2 League. Having played twelve matches they have won 11 and drawn 1 with two games yet to play. The team will be presented with the Mayo League Shield on Friday next, 25th after their match with Ballina Town B in Kilmurry. Kick off is 7pm.

LATE TERESA MOLLOY
The death occurred on Monday, August 14th at her residence of Teresa Molloy (nee Orme), Stonehall, Crossmolina.
Her remains were removed from her residence on Wednesday to St Cormack’s Church, Moygownagh, for Requiem Mass with burial afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.
Teresa was pre-deceased by her husband Tom and is survived by her son Anthony, Stonehall, daughter Mary Pryal, Killala, daughter-in-law Breege, son-in-law John, brothers Tommy, Corroy, Johnny, Moygownagh, sister Essie Breen, Moygownagh, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relations and friends.
