Hi. I am doing some geneological research and have discovered that my father's family came from Crossmolina. The most distant ancestor I can find is Peadar O'Hoibicin, whose children were all Hopkins. My daughter will be traveling to Ireland this summer, and I'd love for her to meet some relatives if there are any still in Crossmolina. My grandfather came to the US in 1900 and raised a family in upstate New York. Any relatives left?

I noticed the dialogue about the haran family. I have a Tony Haran who ws a godfather for Lamen (now Lammond) children in the 1860's. There are also Harans who are buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Dunmore, a borough of Scranton. Some parts of Scranton, by the turn of the century, were Crossmolina recreated. (On the other hand, one section was populated almost entirely by people from Addergoole Parish.) I don't know if the Harans who settled here are the same family, but I can't be sure they are not.
