I cant explain how very very sad I was to hear of my dear friend of over 25 years on the 19th May 2007.

John Cawley was a true gentleman, and a wonderful man. I wish I had told him how much he was cared for the last time he called to my house christmas/new year 2006/2007

Over the years we had many good times, not least his 21st birthday party, his white peugot, pearls disco, and his fave song: come on eileen.

Sadly missed and will always remember you John

Hello all,

I am looking for new, as well as old back issues of the Crossmolina Chronicle.
Of coarse I would pay for the magazines as well as shipping...I am also interested in any historical or genealogical articles relateing to Crossmolina or Moygawnagh families.

Also, I have heard that Tony Donohue has passed away- what a terrible loss! I have no doubt that God has a very special place in heaven for him.
Bless you Tony for all your hard work in producing such wonderfully informative books and articles on the History of Addergoole, and the History of Crossmolina.

Was he able to publish the last book- The History of Moygawnagh?

Tony, you will be sorely missed!

Anyone with info on the Chronicle, or any historical articles and publications may email me direct at

mayogirl14@hotmail.com

If anyone happens to see Dan Sweeney of Cloonaragh, or any of the Sweeneys of Enaghbeg, tell them "Hello from your cousin Diane" for me, will you?

Many thanks for such a great Community web site!

Hello to Mary and Helena, nee Sweeney of Enaghbeg area! Hope you both had a beautiful Christmas.

I am interested in communicating with anyone that has Sweeney connections in Crossmolina. I have many resources at my disposal due to my obsession in Sweeney Genealogy.
Also recently received new info relating to the Martin DOOHER and Mary Cawley line, and would like to exchange info on any children that emmigrated to SYRACUSE NY.

Lastly, does anyone have info on my gt uncle Daniel SWEENEY (son of Patk S and Catherine Connor) who married Catherine DOOHER ca 1905? Looking for her father & mothers name, siblings, ect.

Planning to visit Crossmolina cousins, ie Dan Sweeney, Cloonaragh as well as the Enaghbeg Sweeney and Bracken cousins in Sept 2007, God willing. Also hope to see you as well, Rita!

Recently I wrote an article for the Crossmolina Chronicle
in which I gave a reference to my website regarding the Morans of Carrokeel.

Murphy's Law has been invoked and the URL was changed before we could change it in the article.

The new URL is:

http://celticcowboycompany.com

Rita of Moylaw, can you tell me some stories of the Morans?

Anyone else out there? I am always looking to gather information about the family especially those not mentioned in the genealogy thus far.

Greetings to one and all, I lived just outside of Ballina for two years in the mid 80's. My Sister, Maureen, her family and father live in Crossmolina. I hope to one day return to the area as it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. If you are reading this and having a bad day take a quick breather and stop to look around you as you are in a good place full of good people. Take care all
