Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 19th May. The numbers were 6 – 25 – 30 – 32 four  punters matched three numbers Michael and Marie O’Donnell Deerpark Crossmolina, Aidan O’Malley Keenagh, Jason Murphy Derryhillagh, Castlehill, Michelle Haran Riverwalk Crossmolina they share the €150 prize. The Draw took place in The Thatch Bar. This week’s jackpot is €9,300, Many thanks for all your support

The Late Al Corcoran

The death occurred peacefully on Thursday 17th May at University hospital Waterford of Alphonsus (Al) Corcoran Waterford and formerly of Ballina St Crossmolina. His remains reposed at Hineys Funeral Home on Saturday evening with removal to St Tiernans church burial on Sunday in Crossmolina Cemetery after requiem mass. Al was predeceased by his parents Alex and Bredge brother Benny, is survived by his sisters Annette and Dympna, brothers Charlie, Gerry, Connie, Alex and Peter, brothers – in – law, , sisters – in – law, nephews, nieces, Cousins, relations, extended family, friends and neighbours, May he rest in peace

 

Crossmolina Golf Society News. 

Results from Ballinrobe Saturday 19th May. A great days golf with the Jordan family making up almost 50% of the golfers on the day and they were well represented in the list of prize winners. Overall Emmet Loftus, Cat 1 Michael Herr. Cat 2 Seamus Jordan, Cat 3 Micheal Jordan, Front 9 Padraic Mullen, Back 9 Enda Jordan.

The Late Martin Leonard.

The death occurred peacefully on Thursday 17th May of Martin Leonard Cabragh Castlehill Ballina. His remains reposed at Leonards Funeral home Laherdane on Saturday evening with removal to St Tiernans church Crossmolina funeral mass on Sunday with burial afterwards in Kilmurray Cemetery. Martin, is survived by his wife Mary, sons Anthony, Ollie, Martin Joe and daughter Mary, son-in-law Gerry O’Hora, daughters-in-law Eileen, Helene and Tracey, grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace 

 

Festival News  

Congratulations to Kay Loftus who was the winner of Heat No. 3 of the Singing Pubs and will now represent Maughan’s Bar in the final. The next heat takes place in O’Malley’s Bar on Sunday June 3rd, music by Matt Dillon. If you would like to take part please call 087 2225256. Tickets are now on sale for the Marc Roberts Homecoming Concert on July 19th, tickets available at Hiney’s Londis, O’Donnell’s Centra and Mulhern’s Gala. The “Crossmolina Summer Family Fun” brochure launch will take place on Sunday June 17th in the Church grounds after 11:30am Mass, the brochure is the complete guide to family fun this Summer in Crossmolina.

 

OPW Public Exhibition

On River Deel Drainage Scheme on display in Parish Hall, Crossmolina with representatives in attendance on Tuesday May 29th; 2.00pm – 7.30pm, with further dates 6th &15th June same times. They will answer any questions that interested persons may have regarding the Scheme’s proposals

 

Dementia Dance Club

Community Action on Dementia is a FREE dance club for people living with dementia and their families/carers being run in the Ballina Family Resource Centre every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.00 pm.  Light refreshments served.  Ring Francis on 0868366312 for more info.

 

Aromatherapy with Relaxation

Crossmolina Junior team were defeated by Kilmaine in the county junior Championship at Tiernans Park on Sunday week. The visitors were in command throughout and are one of the favourites to capture the county title certainly on this display they have the forwards capable of racking up big scores final score Kilmaine

Died in Athlone

The death occurred peacefully on Wednesday 23rd May of Bro Thomas Mulhern Marist House, Gleeson Street, Athlone, Westmeath, formerly of Cuiligurraun Castlehill Ballina.  His remains reposed at the Marist residence, Gleeson street, Athlone on Friday evening with removal to St Marys church. Requiem mass on Saturday with burial afterwards in Cornamagh Cemetery. Bro Thomas was pre deceased by his parents Tom and Kathleen brother Jimmy, is survived by his Marist Confreres brothers, Michael, Tony, Niall and John,   sisters Marie, Anna, Karen, Evaun, aunt Bea, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandniece, grandnephew, relatives and many friends. May he rest in peace
