Town Hall Meeting.

Crossmolina Town Hall needs your support, A meeting will be held on this coming Wednesday night 19th Feb at 8.30pm to put a plan and a vision together for the future of the hall. All interested groups and organisations are asked to send a representative on the night    

 

The Late Christina Harding 

The death occurred peacefully on Friday 7th February of Mary Christina Harding nee Mangan Dooleeg Bellacorick Ballina. Her remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Monday evening with removal to the Church of Our Lady of Mercy Eskeragh. Requiem mass on Tuesday. Cremation at a later date. Mary Christina was predeceased by her parents Thady and Mary Mangan brother John is survived by her husband Michael, sons Michael and David, grandchildren Zoe, Isabel, Keira and Felix, brothers Thady, Tom, Martin and Peter daughters – in – law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.

 

Lotto Results

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday 8th February the numbers drawn were 14 – 23 – 25 – 26 two punters matched three numbers Mary and Michael Duffy Abbeytown Rd Crossmolina and Jarlath Tolan Knockleggan Crossmolina each win €75 Draw took place in Hiney’s. This week’s Jackpot is €3,450. Many thanks for all your support 

 

The Late Kathleen Lynn 

The death occurred peacefully on Sunday 9th February at the District Hospital Ballina of Kathleen Lynn nee Ruane Lord Edwards St Ballina and formerly of Ballymonean Enniscrone Co Sligo. Her remains reposed at McGowan’s Funeral Home Ballina on Tuesday Evening with removal to St Patricks Church Ballina. Requiem mass on Wednesday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Tom formerly of Rathbane Crossmolina, and her brother Leo, is survived by her brother Michael England, sister Aggie Flynn Ballymonean, sisters – in – law Mary and Kathleen, brother – in – law Frank Lynn Crossmolina, nieces, nephews, relations, neighbours, and friends. May she rest in peace

The Annual Mid-Killala Regional Dinner Dance will be held in Hiney’s Upper Deck on Friday night 13th March. Music by Medicine Bow. Tickets €25 can Booked from Maeve Tierney, Crossmolina; Mary Ganaghan, Keenagh and TP Loftus, Kilmurray. 

 

The late Bridie Blaine 

The death occurred peacefully on Tuesday 11th February of Bridie Blaine nee Bourke Mullenmore Crossmolina. Her remains reposed at Hineys Funeral home on Wednesday evening. Requiem mass on Thursday in St Tiernans Church with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Bridie was predeceased by her husband Jim is survived by her daughter Trena, son-in-law Martin, grandchildren Karen and Stephen, sister Mary Maher (Galway), nephew, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she Rest in Peace.  

 

Winter League 

The first round of the North Mayo Winter League took place in Knockmore on Saturday week on one of the worst evenings with storm Ciara and driving rain making Football impossible. Crossmolina Day Centre Bingo

Crossmolina Day Centre bingo will take place on Wednesday 19th February 2-4pm in The Civic Centre Mullenmore Street, Crossmolina. The Community bus will be available. Light refreshments will be served. All welcome.

 

Mindspace Outreach Service in Ballina FRC

Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety.  The outreach service will run one day a week (Monday) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. Pieta House New Increased Hours

Pieta House provides counselling, therapy and support to individuals, couples, families and children who have been bereaved by suicide or feeling suicidal.

Pieta House operate an outreach service from the Ballina Family Resource Centre on Tuesdays from 1pm to 5pm & on Wednesdays 9.00am to 1.00pm by apt only Contact: 09325586 to make an Appointment

 

Exercise for Women

Exercise classes for women take place every Wednesday morning from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ardnaree. The group enjoy a chat and catch-up over a cup of tea/coffee after the exercise.  New members welcome.  Ring 096 75573 for more info.
