The Late Mary Kelly RIP

The death occurred peacefully on Saturday 9th November of Mary Kelly nee Gallagher Carrowkilleen Crossmolina. Her remains reposed at Hineys Funeral home on Monday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church. Requiem mass on Tuesday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Mary was predeceased by her husband Josie sons Joseph and Patrick, brother Paddy. Joe Gallagher is survived by her sons John and Liam daughter Mary, daughter-in-law Patricia, grandchildren J.J, Patrick, Danielle, Jacinta, Patrice, Darren, Marie, Gary, Christopher, Lisa and Danny, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, and neighbours. May she rest in peace

 

Festival AGM.

The Crossmolina Festival Annual General Meeting takes place tomorrow evening, Tues. Nov.19th, in the Enterprise Centre at 8pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

 

Lotto Results

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday 9th November. The numbers were 2 – 16 – 22 –  26 one punters matched three numbers Berne Munnelly Erris St Crossmolina (Hair Comh) Berne wins €150. The draw took place in Mulherns the Dolphin. This Weeks Jackpot is €9,300. Many thanks for all your support 

 

Good Luck McHale/Rovers

At the executive meeting of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers on Tuesday night McHale/Rovers were Congratulated on their Success to date and wished all the best good luck in their quest for All-Ireland Honours next Sunday against Donughmore from Cork 

 

Kilmurry Parent and Toddler Group.

Takes place every Tuesday morning in the Community Centre from 11am to 1pm. €4 per family. Come along for a cup of tea and a chat while the Children play. All are welcome 

 

Crossmolina Win Minor Title

Crossmolina 3 – 6 Bonniconlon 1 – 8 

Crossmolina captured the North Mayo Minor D title with a four points win over Bonniconlon at a windy Lacken on Saturday week. Despite all the rain during the week the pitch was in good condition Both sides were guilty of poor finishing Daniel Ruane opened his sides account in the first minute with the aid of breeze.  Edward Gough pointed to tie the score Jonathan Murtagh rifled the ball to the net after a goal mouth scramble in the 7th minuet Adam Langan added a point after 13minuets with number of goal chances missed on both sides and the scoreless spell was broken when   Christian Judge pointed for Bonniconlon in 22nd minuet and Daniel Howley replied with a Point for the Deel-Siders after 27minuets to leave the half time score 1-3 to 0-2 Bonniconlon played much better against the breeze  points from Aodhan Harrington two and one each from Jack Lawrence and Christian Judge to tie the score after nineteen minuets. This was the wake up call the Deel-Rovers needed and sub Diarmuid Walsh drover over a point and minuets later raised a green flag Robert Murphy was not to be out done tacking 1 – 1 in the space of a few minuets to stretch the lead out eight point. Jack Lawrence grabbed a goal and point in injury time but it was too little too late to save day

Kilmurray Card Results.

Exercise for Women

Exercise classes for women take place every Wednesday morning from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ardnaree.  The group enjoy a chat and catch-up over a cup of tea/coffee after the exercise.  New members welcome.  Ring 096 75573 for more info.

Dementia Dance Club

Community Action on Dementia is a FREE dance club for people living with dementia and their families/carers. It is held in the Ballina Family Resource Centre every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.00 pm.  Light refreshments served.  Ring Francis on 0868366312 for more info.

 

Died in USA

The death occurred peacefully on Sunday 10th November of Padraic Gallagher Oradele New Jersey formerly of Mullenmore North Crossmolina. Burial took place in New Jersey on Saturday last. Padraic is survived by his wife Bernadette, sons Brian, Sean, Kieran and Nell, his many relations the Rowland’s and the Gallagher’s Family’s, his many friends whom he visited so often over the years. May he rest in peace 

 

Connacht Medal Winners

Congratulation’s to Crossmolina athlete’s Joanne Loftus Carrowkilleen who won two Connacht Medals in the Connacht U17 Cross Country in Ballina and U18 in Sligo. Clodagh Gill Church Rd Ballina and formerly of Mullenmore Crossmolina U12 Connacht Cross Country Club and Schools Champion, Mayo and Schools Champion Caoimh Tolan Knockleggan has Qualify for the U12 Cross Country All-Ireland Finals   They are all members of the Moy Valley Athletic Club Ballina. We wish then all the Best of luck in the All-Ireland Finals
