Mayo/Roscommon Hospice.

Our recent Church gate collection raised the following. Crossmolina €828, Eskeragh €105, Kilmurry €100, Keenagh €200. Thanks to Volunteer Collectors and all who contributed. It is hoped that the new Hospice located at Knockaphunta Westport Rd Castlebar will open in Summer 2019

 

Music Evening in Day Centre.

Crossmolina Day Centre are hosting a music evening from 6pm-8pm in the town hall on Wednesday 21st November. Come along and enjoy an evening of singing and dancing. Light refreshments served. €5 at the door. Community bus available for

Deel-Rovers AGM

Annual General meeting of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club on Wednesday 28th November at 8pm. All members, supporters and interested parties are welcome to attend. 

 

Kilmurray Card Results. 

The following are the results of the Weekly Kilmurray 25 card drive on Thursday night 8th November. 1st a tie Vinnie O’Boyle and Eugene Granaghan, Gerry Walsh and Bernie Gilroy 2nd a tie Michael Barrett and Frank Leonard, Jimmy Caden and Martin Garrett. 3rd a three way tie Vincent Crowley and Tom O’Boyle, Aiden and Evelyn Crowley, Patrick Gilroy and Richard Devers. Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 10th November. The numbers drawn were 5 – 9 – 24 – 30 on ticket matched three numbers Bernie and Thomas Dolan Enniscoe Crossmolina they win €150. The draw took place in Lynotts Bar. This week’s jackpot is €13,050. Many thanks for all your support 

 

The Late Elizabeth Syron.

The death occurred peacefully on Monday 12th November at her residence of Elizabeth (Lil) Syron N.T nee Hegarty Killacoraun Castlehill Ballina. Her remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Tuesday evening. Removal from her residence on Wednesday morning to The Church of Our Lady Kilmurry for Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Sean, daughter Joanne, son Eoin, sister Maureen, grandchildren, daughter- in- law,         son -in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, many friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace

 

Mindspace Outreach service in Ballina FRC 

Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety.  The outreach service will run one day a week (Monday) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. Exercise for Women

Exercise classes for women take place every Wednesday morning from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ardnaree.  The group enjoy a chat and catch-up over a cup of tea/coffee after the exercise.  New members welcome.  Ring 096 75573 for more info.

 

Children’s Knit and Stitch.

Classes in Ballina Family Resource Centre For children aged 8+ take place on Monday from 4.00pm to 5.30pm.  Needles and wool will be provided to get you going. Ring 096 75573 for more info.

 

Nurture – saving women’s Lives.

Nurture is an affordable, accessible and professional support with a No-Wait Policy for women and their partners who need help surrounding Fertility difficulties, Depression in Pregnancy, Post-natal depression, Traumatic Birth, Miscarriage and other related illnesses.  Ring the Family Resource Centre on 096 75573 for more information.

 

Winter Package and General Maintenance 

Winter is here! Contact us for help with your winter chores. We will stock your weekly fuel, put out your bins or any other assistance that you may need to help you through the cold winter months. We will also stock sheds with winter fuel, clear the yard and the garden, clean guttering and carry out repairs. Phone us on 087 218 6560 or call to the Enterprise Centre for further information.

 

NO NAME CLUB

We are so pleased that the NO NAME CLUB is restarting on November 26th at 8pm. Registration will take place that night, teenagers 16-18 are very welcome. Thank you to all those that volunteered to be Youth Leaders. There will always be room for more, if you are thinking of becoming a Youth Leader we are just a text away 087 218 6560, the more the merrier!

 

National Schools Mini 7’s 

Crossmolina National School had a comfortable win over Corclough NS in the North Mayo mini 7s at a very wet and windy Belmullet on Wednesday of last week. The winner were in control throughout the final score was 3-5 0-1. They now go forward to County knockout stages in Castlebar later in the month

Lady’s Win County Title

McHale/Rovers 1-11 Park/Keelogues/Crimlin 3-4 

McHale Rovers snatched a dramatic late point from scorer in chief Rachel Kearns who scored 1-10 of her sides total to capture the county Junior League title against a gallant Park/Keelogues/Crimlin side   at a wet and windy St Josephs Park Knockmore on Sunday week. McHale/Rovers we in Control in the opening thirty minuets when assisted by the breeze and lead by 1-5 to 0-2. The last 30 minuets was very exciting with West Mayo Girls coming more into game and three goals made for nail biting finish for the North Mayo side who snatched that late winning point

Clinton Schools Cup 

Crossmolina snatched a dramatic late point from  Aaron Coggins to deny Ballycastle in this Annual Cyril Clinton memorial trophy played in Ballycastle in terrible wet and windy conditions on Wednesday of last week final score 0 – 7 to 0 -6

New Garda

Garda Sandra Rooney of Ballina Garda Station is appointed as the new member to join Crossmolina Garda Station replacing retired Garda Christie Kilbane. We welcome Sandra and look forward to working with her.
