Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 13th  July the numbers drawn were 2 – 20 – 21 – 33 three punters matched three numbers Michael and Liz Murphy The Boreen Crossmolina, Colin and Eithne Cosgrove Deerpark Crossmolina, Elenor Walsh Keenagh Ballina each win €50. The draw took place in the Thatch Bar. This week’s jackpot is €6,750. Many thanks for your continued support

 

Kilmurry Parent and Toddler Group

Takes place every Tuesday morning in the Community Centre from 11am to 1pm. €4 per family. Come along for a cup of tea and a chat while the Children play. All are welcome 

 

Dementia Dance Club

Community Action on Dementia is a FREE dance club for people living with dementia and their families/carers being run in the Ballina Family Resource Centre every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.00 pm.  Light refreshments served.  Ring Francis on 0868366312 for more info.

Senior Alert Scheme – Panic Button

Are you in fear of falling, being attacked or broken into in your own home, have a health condition that concerns you? Are you age 65 or older and living alone, living with another person who meets the eligibility criteria, living alone for significant periods of time during the day, or is a carer to someone else in their household, If so you could be entitled to a free Personal Alarm Panic Button.  (Monitoring fees are free for 1st year). The late Kathleen Murphy 

The death occurred peacefully on Monday 15th July at the Riverview Nursing Home Ballina of Kathleen Murphy nee Moyles Cloona Ballina and formerly of Fermoyle Crssomolina. Her remains reposed at McGowan’s Funeral Home on Saturday evening with removal to St Muredachs Cathedral funeral mass on Sunday with Burial afterwards in Leigue Ballina Cemetery. Kathleen was predeceased by husband Padraig is survived by her brother John Joe Ballina, sisters Maureen Coen and Philomena Gillispie Boston, sister – in – law Eileen, brothers – in – law Pat and Bob, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends. May she rest in peace.

 

Wedding Bells

Congratulation to Colm Loftus St Marys Park and Lisa Murphy who were married in St Patricks Church Glenamaddy 6th July. They are wished many years of good health and happiness from their many friends.

Crossmolina recovered from a very poor start conceding eight points too rampant Ballina forward line of Brendan O’Hora Diarmuid Durkan Adam McAndrew Aaron Winters Sean Tracey Conor Boyce Crossmolina two points coming from Ian Kelly and Edward Gough in the opening quarter. Crossmolina were thrown  life line when Fiachra Walshe grabbed an opportunist goal in the 19th minuets and from their to break they out scored the visitors with further points from Conor Caden two J.P.Mulhern Thomas McNulty Robert Murphy and Ian Kelly Diarmuid Durkan and Sean Tracey replied for Ballina to leave the half time score 1 – 8 to 0 -10 Shane McKinley increased the lead with a point just after the break Sean Treacy pointed a free and Thomas McNulty  and Diarmuid Durkan  traded points Patrick McAndrew gave his side a huge boost when he started and finished a move when fisted the ball to the net after 49 minuets Ballina rallied and reduced the lead to the minimum with a string of points from Sean Treacy Crossmolina defence held firm to deny the visitors any further scores. Crossmolina Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camps will take place from Monday 29th of July to Friday 2nd of August from 10am to 2:30pm. U12 Girls League Success

Congratulation to McHale/Rovers U12 Girls who won the County Division 3 title with a six points win over Swinford/ Killasser 2 – 17 to 4 – 5 at St Tiernnas Park on Monday of last week. This was always a close and exciting contest with winners ability to score points when needed most the difference in the end result.
