Kilmurry Card Results.

The following are the results of the weekly Kilmurry 25 drive in the Community Centre on Thursday 1st Pakie Hefferon and Padraic Timlin 2nd a Tie Leo Ryan and Tom O’Malley, Joe Murphy and John Naughton. 3rd a Four way tie Seamie Gallagher and Kevin Murphy, Bernie Gilroy and Frank Heffernan, Breege and Paddy. Votes of Sympathy.

At the Executive meeting of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club on Tuesday night 11th February. Votes of sympathy were expressed to the Family’s of our Club members and their relations on their recent Bereavements. May they rest in peace

 

Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday 15th February the numbers drawn were 12 – 13 – 22 – 27 three punters matched three numbers Declan Clinton Ballycastle, Mary and Christy Heffernan Creevy Castlehill Ballina, Willie Moffatt C/o Madge Moffatt Kilmurry House Castlehill Ballina. Each win €50. The Draw took place in Maughan Bar. This week’s jackpot is €3,600. Many thanks for your continued support

 

Crossmolina Day Centre Bingo.

Crossmolina Day Centre bingo will take place on Wednesday 26th February 2-4pm in The Civic Centre Mullenmore Street, Crossmolina. The Community bus will be available. Light refreshments will be served. All welcome.

 

Festival of Lights.

The Crossmolina Festival Group are finalising details for this year’s Festival of Lights.  The festival will run from Friday March. 13th to Tuesday March. 17th with a line-up of events for families and children.  All events will be free with the highlight event, the “Electric Light Parade” taking place on Monday March 16th at 8pm, the change of date is to facilitate national TV schedules and again this year there will be special guests participating.  If you would like to take part please contact us now on 086 193 0714 / 087 187 1552 / 096 31801.  The Festival Group would like to thank everyone that contributed to the recent church gate collection, all funds will go towards the cost of hosting the Fun Free Family Festival of Lights.  Follow the festival on Facebook and Instagram @crossmolinafestival

 

Yoga Morning.

Yoga for all (mat or chair option). Gentle yoga class with breath work and relaxation techniques will take place on Tuesday 25th February in Civic Centre at 11am. 5 weeks is €50. Booking is essential. Please call Aideen on 086 3815973

 

Jonathon’s Award.

Well done to Jonathon Verry Crossmolina Badminton club coach who won the prestigious Meitheal Maigheo award with the superb Swinford Cycling team last Friday night in Dublin at the Annual Mayo people of the year awards at the Mayo Association Dublin Annual Dinner in Ballbridge Hotel Dublin. What a wonderful achievement for Jonathon and his team, we are delighted for all the cyclists who did a major cycle from Malin to Mizen, Lands End to John O’Groats and Lourdes to Knock. And all proceeds from theses events went to charities in our own areas. Many congratulations to all, you did us proud.

 

Kilmurry NS Fundraiser

A 25 Card Drive will be held in Hiney’s Crossmolina, on this coming Friday night 28th February at 8.30 p.m. sharp. Raffle on the night and refreshments served. Tickets will be sold door to door in the locality and will be available on the night. Please support

 

Pieta House New Increased Hours.

Pieta House provides counselling, therapy and support to individuals, couples, families and children who have been bereaved by suicide or feeling suicidal. Pieta House operate an outreach service from the Ballina Family Resource Centre on Tuesdays from 1pm to 5pm & on Wednesdays 9.00am to 1.00pm by apt only Contact: 09325586 to make an Appointment

 

Exercise for Women.

Exercise classes for women take place every Wednesday morning from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ardnaree.  The group enjoy a chat and catch-up over a cup of tea/coffee after the exercise.  New members welcome.  Ring 096 75573 for more info.

 

Ballina FRC Parent & Toddler Group.

The Parent & Toddler group takes place every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00 noon in the centre.  This group is open to all parents, Grandparents and childminders to come along with their child/children and meet new people over a cuppa and a chat.  Various activities take place and new members are always welcome. Get on your Bike.

North West fitness Academy 50k cycle in memory of the late Betty Sweeney The Old Sheben Ardnaree. In Association with Lisheen, Cooneal, Crossmolina Cycle Club with Irish Cancer Society the main benefactors on Sunday 8th March. All are welcome  

 

Kilmore Parent and Toddler Group.

Takes place every Tuesday morning in the Community Centre from 11am to 1pm. €4 per family. Come along for a cup of tea and a chat while the Children play. All are welcome 

 

Lady’s Basketball. 

Crossmolina Tigers Lady’s Basketball team were edged out in a very exciting County U16 Sem-final in Crossmolina Sports on Thursday last by Ballina Pacers. It was only in the last quarter the visitors got on top and ran out winners by six points 41pts to 35 pts.  Crossmolina tigers panel was Ann Murphy, Saoirse O’Boyle, Rosin Walsh Leany Jordan Rebbeca Jordan, Ava Loftus, Meggan Sheridan, Sinead Walsh and Browyn McAndrew
