The Festival of Lights 2017 has been shortlisted for the All Ireland Community and Council Awards with the winners been announced at the gala awards ceremony in Croke Park on this Saturday Feb. 2nd. The festival is a finalist in the Arts/Culture category with chairpersons John Cooney & Seamus Jordan shortlisted in the Community Volunteer of the Year category

 

Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 20th January. The numbers were 11 – 15 – 16 – 25 two punters matched three numbers Padraic and Shelia Lavelle Letterbrick Keenagh Ballina, North West Fitness Ballina Rd Crossmolina each win €75. The Draw took place in Sticks Bar. This week’s jackpot is €6,750. Many thanks for your continued support

 

Active Age Over 55’s.

Walking and aerobics for both Women and Men continues on each Tuesday in Crossmolina GAA Centre at 12noon. New members always welcome

 

Men On The Move.

Classes resume next Tuesday evening at 7pm in the GAA Centre and will continue for 12 weeks. Men on the Move is for men over 35 and is a great opportunity to get active for the New Year. For details, call Shane on 083 303 0613

 

Senior Alert Scheme – Panic Button.

Are you in fear of falling, being attacked or broken into in your own home, have a health condition that concerns you? Are you age 65 or older and living alone, living with another person who meets the eligibility criteria, living alone for significant period of time during the day or is a carer to someone else in their household, If so you could be entitled to free Personal Alarm Panic Button. Mayo Cancer Support (Rockrose House) Operate a free counselling/therapy service every Tuesday from the Ballina Family Resource centre. Ring Jean on 087. 4802164 to book appointment 

 

Bord Na Nog AGM.

The Crossmolina Deel-Rovers Bord Na Nog Annual General Meeting took place on Thursday last with the following officers elected for 2018. Chairman Enda Lavelle, Vice-Chairman Jarlath Fergus Secretary Julie Reilly, Assistant Secretary Aine McGuinness    

 

Gortnor Abbey Defeated.

Jesus and Mary Gortnor Abbey suffered a heart breaking eleven Points defeat 46 pts to 35 in the U16C Girls final against St Colmcilles Community School Knocklyon Dublin in the National Basketball Arena on Tuesday of last week. The team did their School Parents, Teachers and Coaches Liam McHale and Katrina Lavelle proud and are back again this week in the league Semi-finals. The following are the results of the Weekly Kilmurray 25 card drive on Thursday night 18th January in the Community Centre.
