BBQ in Maughan’s

Western Alzheimer’s are having there 6th annual charity BBQ in Maughan’s pub, Crossmolina this Sunday evening the 4th August. Music is by Irishize. Admission is just €10 and kids are free. Raffle on the night. Please support this worthy cause 

 

Day Centre Bingo

Crossmolina Day Centre bingo will take place on wed 31st July 2-4 pm in the civic centre Mullenmore Street. The community bus will be available. Light refreshments served. All are welcome.

 

North Mayo U16 Final 

Naomh Padraic dominated the opening half of this North Mayo U16 B Final in Glenamoy on Tuesday last and lead at the break by 1 – 10 to 0 – 3 Crossmolina came back and made a great recovery thanks the goals from Diarmuid Walsh and Brian Hopkins in the end Naomh Padraic ran out deserving winners by three points 2 – 15 to 2 – 12

Cash for Clobber at Ballina Family Resource Centre

If you are clearing out your home please drop the clothes, shoes bags etc into the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Abbey Street, Ardnaree. We are doing a cash for Clobber as a Fundraiser for the Centre, your support would be greatly appreciated.  If you need bags we have some in the centre, just drop in and collect them. Louisburgh cruised in the League Division 5 final with a very comfortable 2 – 12 to 1 – 5 win over visitors Crossmolina on Saturday week. Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 20thJuly the numbers drawn were 15 – 29 – 32 – 34 no punter match three number either and three tickets  were drawn Gary McNulty St Patricks Ave Crossmolina, Marie Gallagher Mullenmore Crossmolina, Ian Kelly Freeheen Crossmolina each win €50. The draw took place in Cawleys of Rakestreet. This week’s jackpot is €6,900. Many thanks for your continued support 

 

Mayo Cancer Support Organisation

Mayo Cancer Support (Rock Rose House) operate a free counselling/therapy service every Tuesday from the Ballina Family Resource centre.  Ring Jean on 0872804164 to book an appointment.

 

Mindspace Outreach service in Ballina FRC

Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety.  The outreach service will run one day a week (Monday) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. Crossmolina No Name Club

Thank you to everyone who came to our Crossmolina No Name Club coffee/tea morning. We raised €360 in aid of  Cluainin, Western Care. Thank you so much to the bakers of the lovely cakes and to all the club members for a fantastic service. Thanks to Leaders, brilliant as always!

 

Cul Camp Starts This Morning.

Crossmolina Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camps starts this morning Monday 29th of July to Friday 2nd of August from 10am to 2:30pm. It is guaranteed to provide boys and girls – between the ages of 6 and 13 – with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer Holidays

 

U14 Championship

Crossmolina suffered a heavy defeat in the North Mayo U14 A Championship against Ballina at Tiernans Park last week final score 6 – 13 to 3 – 3.Crossmolina team and scorers were Jack Sharkey Nathan Lynch Mickie Maloney 1-0 Shane Lynn Aaron Coggins Matthew Gordetskyy Patrick O’Malley Diarmuid Fox 1-1 Richie Shelly 1-1 Matthew Williams Jack Sharkey Billy Loftus Ronan Walsh James O’Boyle Kyle Gallagher 0-1  

 

North U21 Final 

Cill Chomain 1 – 15 Crossmolina 3 – 5

Crossmolina got off to a brilliant start with goals in the first minuet and eight from Lorcan Loftus and Tommy Walsh at Kilfine Pitch on Wednesday last in this north Mayo U21 B Championship final. Cill Chomain settled and three points from Justin Healy Jason Mason two and another from Justin Healy tied the score after 23 Minuets minutes later Seamus Mason grabbed his sides only goal and Jason Mason tacked on a point. Crossmolina were dealt a sever blow midway through the half when Keelan Hegarty went of with an injured ankle and Crossmolina had only thirteen fit players and Colm Hegarty who was recovering from injury came on after half time  just before the break Robert Murphy soloed the length of pitch too score a goal and Tommy Walsh pointed to tie the score 1 – 7 to 3 – 1 Jordan Flynn opened the scoring after the break David Healy replied with a point Jordan Flynn again drove over the Cill Chomain bar to restore a one point advantage minuets later Jason Mason tied the score before the winners struck a purple patch with points each from Jason Mason and Mark Healy and Justin Healy tacked on three points which Tommy Walsh replied with two for Crossmolina but the final score came from defender Lorcan Mason to secure a  four points winning margin.
