Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday 22nd   February the numbers drawn were 6 – 14 – 17 – 34 one punters matched three numbers John Garrett Ballina Rd Crossmolina. Draw took place in the Thatch Bar This Week’s Jackpot is €3,750. Many thanks for all your support

St Padre Pio. 

Triduum of Prayer for Lent in St Tiernan’s Church on 9th, 10th & 11th March at 8pm. Candles on sale for €1. Blessing with relics on Wednesday 11th.

 

Spirit and Soul Lunchtime.

Reflections for Lent on 9th, 10th & 11th March from 12.30 – 1.30pm in Town Hall. Light Lunch will be served. Community Bus will be in operation for those three days.

 

Social Dancing. 

Stars in Town Hall, Crossmolina on Saturday 7th March next. Classes at 8.30pm. Dancing from 9.30 – 11.30. Dancing to Mick Travers 

 

Doing a Clear Out – Clothes Recycling.

If you are clearing out your home please drop the clothes, shoes, bags etc into the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Abbey Street, Ardnaree. We are doing a Cash for Clobber as a Fundraiser for the Centre, your support would be greatly appreciated.  If you need bags we have some in the centre, just drop in and collect them. For more info call 096 75573, all money received for clobber goes directly to Ballina FRC.

 

Kilmurry Community Games Quiz.

The Kilmurry Community Games Quiz competition will be held on Wednesday 4th at 3.30 pm in Kilmurry Centre. Competitors must be resident in the Kilmurry Community Games area (catchment areas of Scoil Neifinn and Kilmurry NS) and be born on or after 1st August 2006.

 

Dementia Dance Club.

Community Action on Dementia is a FREE dance club for people living with dementia and their families/carers. It is held in the Ballina Family Resource Centre every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.00 pm.  Light refreshments served.  Ring Francis on 0868366312 for more info.

 

Kilmurry Youths Soccer

The annual Church Gate collection in aid of Kilmurry Youths Soccer Club will take place next weekend 7th and 8th March. The Club provides training and matches for over 250 boys and girls from 6 to 17 years of age . As this is the Club’s 30th Anniversary it is hoped to mark the occasion with some special events for which funds will be required . Please support this collection.

Yoga Class.

Yoga for all (mat or chair option). 5 week gentle yoga class with breath work and relaxation techniques commences  on Tuesday 25th February in Civic Centre at 11am. Cost is €50. Booking essential. Please

St. Tiernan’s Cemetery.

St. Tiernan’s Cemetery committee are looking for people to help out with general maintenance over the Spring and Summer months. Unfortunately, there is no help available at present from the Employment Schemes. If you can support us by giving your time once a week please phone Geraldine on 087 294 8330 or come to our meeting on Wednesday 4th March at 7.30pm in the Enterprise Centre. All help will be greatly appreciated.

 

International Women’s Day

Crossmolina Community Council CLG will be hosting an International Women’s Day event on Friday 13th March 2020. More details to follow next week.

A vacancy for one General Operative (indoor and outdoor work) has arisen with Crossmolina Community Council, CSP. This is a fulltime position, 39hrs per week. CSP qualifying criteria applies. Good teamwork is essential, flexibility will be necessary and may include out of office hours. A Full Drivers Licence is essential and computer skills are desirable. John William Suzaki RIP.

The death occurred recently  of John William Suzaki 42 Devonshire House, Sutton, Surrey, England.

Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday last February 28th  in the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, Eskeragh followed by burial of Ashes in Crossmolina Cemetery. John was pre deceased by his wife Teresa nee McDonnell Eskeragh, Bellacorick, Ballina, Co. Mayo, brother – in – law Paddy McDonnell, is survived by his sister – in – law, Bridie who lives in London, relations, extended family, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace
