Lotto Results

There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot Saturday night the 23rd July. The numbers drawn were 22 – 24 – 31 – 35 no punter matched three numbers and three tickets were drawn Sarah Corcoran Mullenmore Crossmolina, John and Lorna Mulkearns Dublin, Darren, Keith and Stephen Jordan Enniscoe Crossmolina they win €50 each. The draw took place in The Dolphin Hotel.  This week’s Jackpot is €6,150. The Committee would like to thank everybody for their continued support

 

Recent Death in Coventry 

The death occurred peacefully on the 14th July in Coventry of Tom Walsh Bunaveela, Keenagh, and Ballina after a short illness. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday 11th August in Corpus Christi Church Binley Coventry with burial afterwards in Canley Cemetery Coventry. Tom is survived by his daughter Patricia, grandad to Michael-Lee and Charlotte, brother Gerard Bunaveela, sister Barbra Kilroy Letterkeen, Mary Gibbons, Castlebar, Kathleen Kelly Ballyhanuis, sister – in -law, Brothers- in – law nieces, nephews, relations, friends and neighbours. Tom was keen sports man was a member of the Crossmolina Junior team that won the county title in 1975 and also played for Keenagh Tom kept a keen interest in how the Club was going and Mayo as well. His many team mates and friends from that era were shocked and saddend at his passing. The Deel-Rovers GAA club wish to extend its sympathy to all his family.

 

Crossmolina 5 – 11 Castlebar Mitchels 4 – 8

Crossmolina recovered from Two first half goals from Joe Farry and Conor Kananagh in the 16th and 26th minutes with points from Joey Keane Luke Williams Liam Clancy Luke Maloney and two from Kobe McDoanld in between Joe Farry tacked on three points and Patrick Garvey one to leave the half time score 2 – 4 to 0 – 6 after the hosts missed some great scoring chances. Three goals in the opening ten minutes after the break from Dylan Flynn Oisin Deane and Josh Moyles in between Joe Farry pulled a goal back Oisin Dean waltzed through a couple defenders and Kobe McDonald his trade mark goal from a distance and Joe Farry bagged his third goal and ended up with 3 – 6 to his name. Kilfine 4 – 11 Crossmolina 3 – 13 

Crossmolina clawed their way back after a poor start conceding three goal with Niall McDonald the tormenter in chief. Danny McDonald Killian Fergus Gerard Haran David Howley and Adam Langan replied with points and before half time Gerard Haran scored a goal to leave the score at the break   3 – 5 to 1 – 5 advantage to the hosts.  The introduction of Luke Rowland who scored five points and goals from Gerard Haran Adam Langan had Crossmolina a point up entering the final minutes until Michael Lynott got the all important goal for Kilfine to steal it at the death after entertaining game despite the heavy shower in the first half
