The Late Peter Cawley
The death occurred peacefully on Wednesday 24th October at Tallaght Hospital Dublin of Peter Cawley Moorefield Park, Newbridge, Kildare formerly of Crossmolina, Mayo. His remains reposed at his family home on Thursday with removal on Friday morning to Cill Mhuire Church, Ballymany, Newbridge for requiem mass. Burial afterwards in St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge. Peter is survived by his wife Kathleen (Kay) née Gardiner, family Ger, Helen, Charlie, Catriona and Peter, his brother Brendan Crossmolina, daughters in law Siobhan, Jackie and Fiona, sons in law John and Paul, grandchildren Brendan, Brian, Luke, Sarah, Aoife, Seán, Dan, Conor, Joe and Aoibhe, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace
Crossmolina Community Alert.
The AGM of Community Alert will be held on Tuesday 6th November at 8.30pm in the Enterprise Centre. All committee members and persons interested in Community Alert in their area are invited to attend.

Exercise for Women.

Ballina FRC Parent & Toddler Group
The Parent & Toddler group takes place every Thursday from 10.30am to 12.00 noon in the centre. This group is open to all parents, Grandparents and childminders to come along with their child/children and meet new people over a cuppa and a chat. The death occurred peacefully on Tuesday 30th October following a short illness at Beaumont Hospital Dublin of Patrick (Pat) Sharkey Knocklyon, Dublin and formerly of Crossmolina. His remains reposed at Larry Massey Funeral Home Eden Centre Grange Road Rathfarnham on Thursday evening. With Requiem mass on Friday Morning in St. Colmcille’s Church, Knocklyon. Funeral afterwards to Kilmashogue Cemetery, Rathfarnham. Patrick is survived by his wife Carole, son Shane and daughter Lucy, mother Breege, brothers and sisters Michael, Mary, Mairéad, Sinead, Majella, John , Maeve, Edel and Louise, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives a large circle of friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace
Festival AGM.
The Crossmolina Festival AGM takes place this Tuesday evening at 8pm in the Enterprise Centre, everyone is welcome.
Business Meeting.
Crossmolina Community Council CLG and Crossmolina Area Business Area Group are pleased to host a free to attend business meeting with John Magee, Head of Enterprise at Mayo LEO on the 13th of November from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. The meeting will take place in the Enterprise Centre and John will give a presentation on the supports and services of the LEO in Mayo.
Crossmolina area business owners or a representative and anyone thinking of starting a new business are welcome and encouraged to attend. It should be an opportunity to find out what is available to enhance, promote and encourage business in our area.
The Late Maureen Curran RIP.
The death occurred peacefully on Monday 29th October at University College Hospital Galway of Maureen Curran Ballymachola Crossmolina. Her remains reposed at Hineys Funeral Home on Wednesday evening. Requiem mass on Thursday in St Tiernans Church with burial afterwards in Lisheen Cemetery. Maureen was predeceased by her parents Martin and Bridget and partner Tony Buckley, is survived by her sisters Carmel, Virginia, Patricia and Beatrice, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbours. May she rest in peace.

This was a very entertaining contest with both sides having spells of dominances in a high scoring game that produced fifteen goals and twenty nine points. Hollumount/Carramore raced into a ten points lead early on only to be pegged back by a resilient Crossmolina side that have been in this situation in a number of games and have managed to dig out the right results in the end. After finishing level at the end of normal time 8-3 to 5-12. In Extra time Crossmolina were much the better side and went on to out score their hosts by 2-10 to 0-4 to run out comfortable winner by 10-13 to 5-16 and now go forward to play Charlestown in the at the Connacht Centre of Excellence on this Wednesday night at 7-30
