Kiltmagh were in control of this county minor league tie in St. Tiernans Park on Tuesday last. From the start, a Mickie Kearney goal early in the first half set the tone for the rest of the game. A Tom Gough goal midway through the half saw the home side trail by four points at the break 1- 5 to 1-1. Conor Hession grabbed a goal after the break, before James O’Boyle found the net for the host but Kiltmagh were a much better side and would have added much more to the score board if not for the fine goal keeping of Patrick O’Malley. In a very closely contested U16 league game in St. Tiernans Park throughout Ethan Reilly for the Deel-Siders Mickie Shaughnessy and Sean Burke for the visitors were the main scorers. Conor Howley came off the bench to grab the all-important goal for the hosts midway through the second half to secure the points against a very tough Tourmakeady side.
