Lotto Results.

Their was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 4th May The numbers drawn were 9 – 14 – 31 – 35 two  match three number Grace Granahan 31 Deerpark Crossmolina, Rose Clancy Carrowcloughy Crossmolina each win €75  The draw took place in Sticks Bar. This weeks Jackpot is €5,250. Many thanks for all your Support

 

Pioneer Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Davitts Irishtown ran out convincing winners of this county U14 Division 3 League tie at Irishtown on Bank holiday Monday last week   Crossmolina team and scorers were Jack Sharkey Nathan Lynch Ronan Connor Aaron Coggins Aidan Granaghan Matthew Gordetskyy Martin Maloney Diarmuid Fox 0-1 James Maheady 0-5 Richie Shelly Jack Naughton 0- 2 Kyle Gallagher Matthew Williams Ronan Walsh Patrick O’Malley 1-0 Sub James O’Boyle 0-1  

 

The Late Mary Ginty

The death occurred peacefully on Sunday 5th May at St Augustine Community Nursing Unit Ballina of Mary Ginty nee Grimes Dooleeg Crossmolina. Her remains repose at St Augustine’s on Tuesday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church Crossmolina. Requiem Mass on Wednesday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Mary was predeceased by her husband Tony is survived by her sisters – in- law Judy Grimes Fotish Crossmolina, Mary Ginty USA, brother – in – law Tommy Ring USA, nieces Dymphna, Geraldine, Teresa, Margaret, Eileen Ring, Eileen and Marie, nephews Patrick, Richard, and Martin grandnieces, grandnephews John, Margaret, and Peter Glasglow and Scotland, her dear friends in St Augustine’s neighbours, relations and friends. May she rest in peace 

 

Pioneer Celebrations.

The pioneer Connacht activities celebrate 

the golden jubilee on Sunday may 26th in the Dalton Inn hotel Claremorris commences with mass at 2.30pm and at 3 pm dinner with music afterwards. All are welcome to attend. Contact Maeve on 0863148334 if interested

 

U16 League 

Crossmolina 3 – 14 Charlestown 1 – 11

Crossmolina qualified for the County U16 League Division 3 final after a great battle with Charlestown at Tiernnas Park on Tuesday last. The visitors opened the scoring with a Jack Corley point Diamuid Walsh levelled in fifth minuet Jack Corley fired over another point before Diarmuid Walsh cracked home a goal Sean Gilroy replied with a point mid way through the half Diarmuid Walsh struck four points from play and frees in the final quarter of the half which Niall Towey replied with a point from play to leave the half time score 1-5 to 0-4 after a half of fast open end to end football. Crossmolina started the second half in whirl wind fashion with Goal from Niall Coggins but the East Mayo sides reply was just as fast with 1-2 from Jack Corley  in the next eight minuets Diarmuid Walsh and James Williams tacked  points each which wiped out with like scores from Blake Cullen and Jack Corley again Crossmolina replied with a point from Eoin Murphy and Diarmuid Walsh raised his second green flag and quickly added a point Niall Fleming drove over two points from play and Blake Cullen another Crossmolina finished the stronger with a string of points from Diarmuid Walsh two Eoin Murphy and James Williams one each to secure a deserved and convincing win in the end but were it not for two brilliant saves on the 50th minuets in quick succession from Conor Reynolds when only three points separated the sides the end result might be much different

Mayo Cancer Support Organisation

Mayo Cancer Support (Rock Rose House) Operate a free counselling/therapy service every Tuesday from the Ballina Family Resource centre.  Ring Jean on 0872804164 to book an appointment.

 

Dementia Dance Club

Community Action on Dementia is a FREE dance club for people living with dementia and their families/carers being run in the Ballina Family Resource Centre every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.00 pm.  Light refreshments served.  Ring Francis on 0868366312 for more info.

Pieta House are now operating a service from the Ballina Family Resource Centre from 9.00am to 1.00pm every Wednesday Contact: 09325586 for Appointment

 

Festival News.  

A table quiz, hosted by the festival, will take place in The Thatch this Friday night at 9pm.  Table of 4 is €40 and all proceeds from the quiz will go towards Vision 2025 to support their fund raising efforts to complete the purchase of property on the Ballina Road and open up exciting opportunities for the community moving forward towards 2025 and beyond. Clubs and community groups are asked to support the quiz night.  The draw for the Family VIP Festival Passes will take place live on the Festival facebook page at 9pm on Tues. May 14th, thank you to all the families that expressed interest in the draw.  The next heat of “Tops Of The Town” takes place on May 25th in Hineys.  Details from 087 9120680.
