The Late Molly Diamond
The death occurred peacefully on Monday 9th July at her residence of Mary (Molly) Diamond nee Gillispie Lecarrow Crossmolina and formerly of Townagh Bellacorick. Her remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral home on Tuesday evening with removal to St Tiernan’s Church requiem mass on Wednesday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina cemetery Molly was predeceased by her husband John is survived by her daughter Martina, son-in-law Tom, sister Bridget Gilroy St Marys Park, brother Peter Gillispie Derby England, sisters-in-law Norah and Kathleen, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.
U16 Lady’s Football League
McHale/Rovers were comfortable winner of this U16 Lady’s league at a sunny Tiernans Park on Wednesday last Caoimhe Walsh drove on her side with some lovely points and Amy Blake Ailish Keane and Ciara Walsh raised green flags against that Natasha Merry got her sides two goals the scores continued to flow in the after the break further goals from Caoimhe Walsh and Ciara Walsh. Hollymount kept pressing and registered a couple of goals and Grace Campbell tacked on points to leave the final score 6-14 to 4-12

2018 Festival
Wednesday sees the start of this year’s festival, it all begins with a family street fest on Church St. at 8pm on and the family fun continues until Sunday night when the festival closes with the Singing Pubs Final. Brochures are available at local outlets and tickets are available now at Hiney’s for the Marc Roberts Concert on Thursday night. U14 Championship
Belmullet emerged comfortable winner over Crossmolina in the County U14 Semi-final in Belmullet on Thursday last. Three goals from Eoin Walsh set the tone of the opening 30 minuets. Crossmolina scorers were Declan Tolan a point and goals from Danny McDonald and Niall Maughan to leave the half time score 5-6 to 2-1 The visitors were dealt two further hammer blows when Eoin Walsh cracked the ball to the net in the opening minuets of the second. After weathering the storm Crossmolina Captain Niall Maughan grabbed three goals and Ronan Loftus one Dara Syron and Mickie Maloney tacked on points each but it was too little too late and Belmullet were through to the county final on a score line of 7-8 to 6-3
