Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 12th May. The numbers were 1 – 19 – 22 – 28 two punters matched three numbers Sharon and Kieran Traynor Abbeytown Crossmolina, Mary. B. Lynn Quarry House Keenagh, Ballina, each win €75. The draw took place in Hineys. This weeks Jackpot is €9,150. Many thanks for your continued support 

 

Rocks and Roses Concert.

Rocks and Roses Cancer Survivors choir are holding a concert in Hineys Upper Deck on Saturday night 26th May at 8pm. Special Guests Athantic Rhythm. All Proceeds to Mayo Cancer support. Tickets €10 available from Mary 087 9435850 or Nuala 087 9099689.

 

U14 League

Crossmolina U14 advanced to the county U14 League cup semi-final with a comprehensive 6-21 to 4-4 win over Ballaghaderreen at a sunny Tiernans Park on Thursday last With James Maheady Jack Naughton racking up points for the hosts before Dylan Carney rammed home a goal in the 4th minuet which was cancelled out immediately by Darragh Syron Crossmolina continued to tack on points from Diarmuid Fox Diarmuid Coggins James Maheady and Jack Naughton. Ballaghderreen responded with goal from Matthew Connor and a couple of Arann McDermott points to leave the half time score 1-11 to 2-2. The second half was dominated by Eoin Murphy who late arriving for the game with whopping 3-8 to his name in final 30minuets Arann McDermott grabbed two goals for the visitors and Dylan Carney and Matthew Connor tacked on points after Diarmuid Fox and Declan Tolan raised green flags to leave the Deel-Rovers safely through to the next round

National Schools Title 

Crossmolina boys NS made it a double success in the North Mayo Cumann na mBunscol football defeating Currabaggan NS by  8-7 to 2-6 in Knockmore on Thursday last first half goals from Dylan Flynn two and one each from Aaron Coggins and Matthew Gordetskyy set the trend. Sean Kelly replied with a goal for on the stroke of half time for Currabaggan and Brian Walsh Billy Ruane were point scorers. The visitors continued to dominate and further goals from Kobe McDonald two and one each from Dylan Flynn and Aaron Coggins. Oram McHale notched 1-1 and Kyle Fox and Sean Kelly scored points for Currabaggan to leave Crossmolina comfortable winner in the end

Flood Relief Scheme Launch.

The Official Launch of the Crossmolina Flood Relief scheme by minister Boxer Moran takes place to day Monday 21st May in the Parish Hall at 2pm. Minister Michael Ring will also be in attendance

County League 

Crossmolina served up exciting draw with Cill Chomain in the County Division 4 League tie at Tiernans park on Sunday week. The visitors lead at the break by 1-6 to 1-4. A storming late scoring blitz from  David Howley who notching four points and one from corner back Patrick Loftus to snatch a 1-9 apiece draw after a very entertaining contest

Mayo Cancer Support Organisation

Mayo Cancer Support (Rock Rose House) operate a free counselling/therapy service every Tuesday from the Ballina Family Resource centre.  Ring Jean on 0872804164 to book an appointment.

 

Dementia Dance Club

Community Action on Dementia is a FREE dance club for people living with dementia and their families/carers being run in the Ballina Family Resource Centre every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.00 pm.  Light refreshments served.  Ring Francis on 0868366312 for more info.

 Crossmolina Girls NS Success

Crossmolina N.S girls team captured  North Mayo section of Cumann na mBunscol with a exciting two points win over Currabaggan NS in Knockmore on Thursday last trailing by 0-3 to 0-1 at the break after dominating the opening half Charlie Louise Reilly getting the point in a in reply to points from Olivia Melvin Chloe Ruane and Emma Walsh. Crossmolina got off the perfect stat to the second half with a point from Zara Fox and Sarah Gough got the all important goal after six minuets to Zara Moyles Sarah Gough and Charlie Louise Reilly added points with Currabaggan keeping in touch with points from Chloe Ruane two and one from Alyna  Reape to leave Crossmolina winners 1-5 to 0-6  Crossmolina team and Scorers were Maeve  Cosgrove  Rosien Tolan Hannah Keane Soirse O’Boyle Zara Fox 0-1 Aoife McHale Zara Moyles 0-1  Sarah Gough 1-1 Charlie Louise Reilly 0-2 Subs Caoimhe Tolan Rionagh McHale Orlaith O’Boyle Sarah Conway Kayleigh Coggins
