There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 16th March. Kilmurray Parents and Toddler group meet every Tuesday morning in the Community Centre from 11am to 1pm. It is a lovely social occasion and meeting place for the mothers and children

Crossmolina Minor team recovered from a lighting start by Ardnare with a goal from Peter Timlin and points from P.J.Gilmartin and Kyle Armstrong. Conor Caden grabbed a goal and Edward Gough and Adam Langan pointing before John Brennan scored the visitors second goal and P.J.Gilmartin pointed two frees Crossmolina finished the half the stronger with further goals from Conor Caden and Adam Langan to leave the half time score 3-3 to 2-5. Official Opening of Crossmolina Civic Centre
Minister Michael Ring TD, Minister for Rural and Community Development will officially open the Civic Centre on Mullenmore Street on 29th March 2019 at 4.pm All members of the community are welcome to attend.

Confirmation 2019
Twenty Three pupils from Crossmolina National School were confirmed last Saturday in St Tiernan’s and Twenty Seven more will be confirmed on Saturday next in Keenagh Church. We congratulate all of them, their Teachers and Parents for all the preparations.
Recent Deaths.
Sympathy is extended to the McHale family on the Death of Vincent in New Jersey formally of Kildaree, and the Flanagan Family London on the death of Frank brother of Paddy Moate Castlehill. May they rest in peace
New Eucharistic Ministers
Twelve new Ministers of the Eucharist were inducted by Bishop John Fleming at the Confirmation Ceremonies last week. We are delighted that young people have offered to be part of this very important ministry in the Parish.
St Padre PIO Novena.
The St Pio Novena starts this evening Monday 25th in St Tiernan’s Church Crossmolina. It’s on every evening at 8pm for nine days. Special Candles can be lit in front of the Statue for your intentions. Some evenings the Rosary will be offered at 7.30pm, & Exposition will also be offered on some evenings before Mass. A Petition Box is also available for your intentions.

SUICIDE ALERTNESS FOR EVERYONE – TELL, ASK, LISTEN, KEEP SAFE: Crossmolina Deelrovers GAA in partnership with the HSE is hosting Safe TALK training on Wed 3rd April (6:30-10pm), Crossmolina Deelrovers GAA Clubrooms). Safe TALK teaches participants to recognize and engage persons who might be having thoughts of suicide and to connect them with community resources trained in suicide intervention. SafeTALK stresses safety while challenging taboos that inhibit open talk about suicide. Takes place on tonight Monday 25th March at 8pm in the Men Shed, The Boreen. All welcome especially new members.
Connacht Close Badminton Championships.
Heartiest congratulations to all our juniors who competed in the U13 and U17 Connacht championships and we are delighted to say we had a very entertaining day at this keenly contested event. In the U17 event Boys “Plate” singles winner was Jimmy McAndrew and Girls “Plate” singles winner was Grace Loftus. Emily Loftus and partner Lucy were Girls doubles r-up in the U17. In the U13s Tournament Girls “Plate” singles winner was Kayleigh Coggins while Emily Loftus was r-up in the top Girls “singles” event.
Girls “Plate” doubles winners were Roisin Tolan and Emily Loftus, and Emily and partner were mixed doubles runners up. Our Crossmolina Juniors did us proud at this day long event and we would also like to congratulate Ballina for their dedication and organisation of this annual event. Next date is the Ballina Singles event on the 23rd March so take note. Everyone please give your entries to us ASAP. Also Ballina Badminton Club are hosting their social Sunday on the 31st March at 4pm for all our adult members. So lots more badminton to look forward to ye
The Late John Canavan
The death occurred peacefully on Wednesday 20th March at Mayo University Hospital Castlebar of John Canavan Erris St Crossmolina. His remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Saturday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church. Requiem mass on Sunday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. John is survived by his wife Ann, Family Michael Crossmolina, Sharon Langan Garracloon, Shane Foxford, Lorraine Connolly Cavan, Marguerite McGinnis, Rakestreet, Kevin Rathoath, and Sandra Knockmore, brothers Sylvie and Patrick, sisters Maureen, Breda and Geraldine, brothers – in – law, sisters – in- law, daughters – in – law, sons – in – law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and Neighbours. May he rest in peace
Mindspace Outreach service in Ballina FRC
Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety. The outreach service will run one day a week (Monday) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. Ballina FRC Parent & Toddler Group
The Parent & Toddler group takes place every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00 noon in the centre. This group is open to all parents, Grandparents and childminders to come along with their child/children and meet new people over a cuppa and a chat. Festival of Lights
Crossmolina Festival would like to thank all those that contributed in any way to making the Festival Of Lights a success this year. The “Floating Candles of Remembrance” contributions totalled €887.21 which the festival will donate to the Cemetery Committee to continue the great work they do. Thank you to everyone that took the time and effort to join in the parade and create the light display in the town, the senior winners in the parade was Davys Tool Hire and the junior winners Crossmolina Foroige, also to those businesses that added to the atmosphere in the town with their window displays, winner of the best window display went to Maughan’s Bar and to the Men’s Shed who organised the shamrocks around the town and also to our local Gardai, all of the stewards and to everyone that turned out to enjoy the parade, we hope you enjoyed it. The next festival meeting takes place on tomorrow evening (Tuesday) at 8pm in the Enterprise Centre, all welcome as plans for the Nephin festival begin.
