Homecoming Festival.
Crossmolina festival would like to thank everyone that helped make the Homecoming Festival a success, from everyone that helped in any way, those that took part, the sponsors and all that supported the various events. We hope that there was something for everyone and all ages enjoyed the five days. We would like to wish the Crossmolina Agricultural Show the best of luck as they host their 64th show next Saturday, this is always a great family day out so please support your local show. Well done to some of the winners in this years festival, Lucy Lavin who owned the winning Pig at the races, Michael Lynn and daughter Rachel who won the James Hogan Memorial Jiving Competition, Shauna O’Boyle who was the winner of the 2018 Singing Pubs Competition and the winners in the Junior Fishing Competition included Niall Coggins, Michael Monaghan, Luke Browne, Éanna O’Boyle, Luke Carson, Ethan Reilly, Declan Moran, Matthew Monaghan and James Loftus.

Died in Ballina
The death occurred peacefully on Friday 20th July at her residence of Mary Browne nee Foley The Moorings Ballina and formerly of Barrett St and St Patricks Avenue Crossmolina. Her remains reposed at McGowans Funeral home Ballina on Sunday evening with removal to St Patricks Church Ballina. Requiem Mass on Monday with burial afterwards in Leigue Cemetery. Mary is survived by her husband Val, son Vincent, daughters Teresa and Caroline, grandson Jamie, parents, Evelyn and Brendan, brothers Michael Ballina, Martin Ballina, Tiernan U K, Brendan Crossmolina, Declan Ballina, Sisters Elizabeth Crossmolina, Ann Cardon Crossmolina, Edel Ballina, Loretta Dublin and Bernadette Ballina, in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces relations friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.

The death occurred peacefully on Friday 20th July at his residence of Edward Gillispie Fiddaune Keenagh. His remains reposed at Hineys Funeral Home on Saturday evening with removal to the Church of the Holy Souls, Keenagh. Requiem Mass on Sunday with burial afterwards in Kilmurray Cemetery.
