Committees Training.
Mayo North East have organised training for local community groups on “The Roles and Responsibilities of Committees”. This training will be held in the Crossmolina Enterprise Centre on Thursday evening September 20th 2018 from 7pm – 9pm. The training is FREE and is funded under the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme. Places are limited to ten people. Ballina FRC Parent & Toddler Group is starting back on Thursday 6th Sept from 10.30am to 12.00 noon in the centre. The Late Padraic Hopkins.
The death occurred peacefully on Wednesday 29th August at Mayo University Hospital Castlebar of Padraic Hopkins Ballina St Crossmolina and formerly of Dooleeg Bellacorick. His remains reposed at Hineys Funeral home on Friday evening Removal from his residence on Saturday morning for requiem mass in the Church of Our Lady of Mercy Eskeragh. Burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Padraic is survived by his wife Eileen, sons Willie and Patrick, daughters Mary, Geraldine, Dympna and Fiona, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace

McHale/Rovers and Hollymount served up an exciting County U16 League Semi-Final at a sunny Tiernans Park on Wednesday last. The opening quarter was score for score with Emily Murray Sinead Walsh and Amy Blake getting on the score sheet for the hosts Shona Tierney and Ava Keane the visitors score-in-chief with 2-2 goals in the 14th and 29th minuets to give Hollymount a 2-5 to 0-6 advantage at the break. McHale/Rovers wiped out that lead in the space of eight minuets with points each from Sinead Walsh and Amy Murphy and a goal from Rosien Walsh. The visitors came back with goal from Lisa Geraghty Caoimhe O’Malley Sinead Walsh and Amy Blake tacked on points for the home side but Hollymount added on two further points to advance to the final on a score of 3-7 to 1-12 after a great sporting game
