LAST WEEK FOR THE  SHOE BOX APPEAL.

A shoebox collection for the children that reside in the direct provision Centre in Ballyhaunis. There are currently 113 children living in the centre; 66 boys and 57 girls. These children’s lives are compounded by uncertainty, poverty, fear and exclusion. With Christmas looming, I think it would be a very kind gesture to let them know that they are supported. It will really put a smile on their faces, after what has been an especially difficult year.  We are not asking for people to spend a lot of money, maybe you can reuse items that have been left idle in your home! Whether it be a teddy, toys, dried snacks, crayons and a colouring book, blankets, footballs, hygiene products, sensory toys etc, be creative!  N.B *Please state on box whether your item is intended for a male / female & age group your box is intended for.
