There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday 29th February the numbers drawn were 11 – 20 – 22 – 27 no punter matched three numbers either and three tickets were drawn. Mindspace Outreach service in Ballina FRC.
Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety. The outreach service will run one day a week (Monday) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. Pieta House New Increased Hours.
Pieta House provides counselling, therapy and support to individuals, couples, families and children who have been bereaved by suicide or feeling suicidal.

Exercise for Women.
Exercise classes for women take place every Wednesday morning from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ardnaree. The group enjoy a chat and catch-up over a cup of tea/coffee after the exercise. New members welcome. Ring 096 75573 for more info.

The ‘Crossmolina St. Patrick’s Weekend Festival’ is taking place from Friday, 13th of March to Tuesday, 17th of March 2020. During this time there will be a ‘Best Window Display Competition’ held involving all the businesses and organisations in Crossmolina town. To enter all you have to do is create a window display to signify St. Patrick’s Day and your window will be judged during the Festival Weekend. Result of ‘Best Window Display 2020’ will be announced on the night of the ‘Electric Light Parade’, which is Monday, 16th of March 2020. Crossmolina Badminton club Success.
Great excitement for Crossmolina when Kate Ann Loftus and Oliver Jackson won the “A” Singles title in Ballina last weekend in the U10 event. We were also delighted with Saoirse Murray B singles r-up and Eabha McGoff C singles r-up. In the U12 Tara Hegarty C singles r-up and greater excitement when Sarah Conway won “B” singles and Lucy Lavin “B” r-up took B home. Well done everyone. Bonniconlon ran out deserving winners in this Sweeney cup tie in Bonniconlon on Sunday week. The Host lead at the break by 0 – 6 to 0 – 2 and held on for one point win in the end 0 -12 to 0 – 11. This was Crossmolina’s first game of the season

Community Festival Events.
Brochures for the upcoming Festival Of Lights are now available locally and online. The festival runs from March 13th to 17th with the highlight been the Electric Light Parade on Monday March 16th. There is a full list of entries again this year and two added attractions. Firstly the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter will perform a special searchlight flyover and the parade will also include “Bumblebee” and “Celtic Warrior” giant robots who will also be available after the parade in the Town Hall for a meet and greet plus photo opportunity for the children. The robots have appeared at many international events in Dublin and are sponsored by The Thatch Bar. Parking restrictions will be in place on the afternoon of Mon. 16th to prepare for the Light Parade and erect the viewing platform which we would like to thank AGS Scaffolding for facilitating this. All of the events in the festival are free and include entertainment nightly kicking off with a “Folk N’ Craic” session in Stick’s on Fri. 13th. On Saturday 14th there will be a St. Patrick’s Day Badges workshop in the Town Hall, contact 087 050 6353 to register free of charge with entertainment that night in Christy’s, Maughan’s & The Thatch. During the festival we encourage businesses and homes in the area to decorate and light their windows with a prize for the most creative sponsored by Pat Kelly Autopoint. On Sunday at 5pm there will be a free children’s disco in the Town Hall, music, fun and games and to keep in the theme of the weekend it would be great to see the children light up for the disco. To round off the festival weekend there will be a Round Bale Roll Off on Chapel St. on Tuesday March 17th at 7pm. Teams of 4 will try to secure the fastest time to share the prize money sponsored by Pat Kelly autopoint. To enter call 086 812 7004.
