Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 21st September. The numbers drawn were 6 – 19 – 23 – 33 Noreen Rielly Laherdane Matched three numbers and won €150. The Draw took place in Hiney’s. This weeks Jackpot is €8,250. Many thanks for all your support 

 

The Flu Vaccine.

Is now available at  Deel Medical Centre. Flu Vaccine Clinics are on Tuesdays 12 – 1 and Fridays 2:30-3:30 no appointment necessary

 

Died in England

The Death occurred peacefully on Friday 13th September of Betty Ilsworth nee O’Boyle Bournemouth England and formerly of Carrogarve, Crossmolina. Requiem mass on Saturday last in the Church of Our Lady Kilmurry with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Michael, sadly missed by her sister Mary Lawlor, Castlebar, brothers John, Tony and Padraic (Crossmolina), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she Rest in Peace

 

North Mayo Championship 

Crossmolina were struggling from first whistle to last in this North Mayo Championship tie in at a very windy Glenamoy on Friday week. Playing with the elements Cill Chomain raced into the lead thanks to a David Walker scoring spree of five points in the opening ten minuets Sean Irwin and Seamus Mason added goal and Crossmolina’s Luke Rowland and Edward Gough replied with points each to leave the hosts in a commanding 2-9 0-2 in front at the break. Crossmolina won the second half five points to three scores coming from Tommy Loftus and Edward Gough two points each and one from Robert Murphy Sean Irwin and David Walker raised the white flags for the home side to leave the final score 2-9 to 0-7

Club Development Draw Winners

Congratulation to the following who were prize winners in the recent club Development draw in association with Mayo GAA. Pink Tie Fund Raiser Thanks 

Crossmolina Fire-brigade members recently raised €1,820 for Aoibheanns Pink Tie. It is a charity that provides support for the Family’s of children with cancer and is the chosen charity of the Firefighter’s of Ireland. People of Crossmolina area gave extremely generously and its greatly appreciated

The late Packie Gallagher 

The death occurred peacefully on Monday 23rd September at his residence of Patrick (Packie) Gallagher Corverderra, Bellacorick in his one Hundred and fifth year. His remains reposed at Hineys Funeral home on Tuesday evening. Requiem mass on Wednesday in the Church of Our Lady of Mercy Eskeragh. Burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery Packie Sadly missed by his loving wife Lena, sons John, Vincent and Christy daughters Catherine (Weir) and Teresa (Hunt), sons-in-law, daughter’s in-law and his 14 grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbours. May he rest in peace 

 

Pieta House New Increased Hours

Pieta House provides counselling, therapy and support to individuals, couples, families and children who have been bereaved by suicide or feeling suicidal.

Pieta House operate an outreach service from the Ballina Family Resource Centre on Tuesdays from 1pm to 5pm & on Wednesdays 9.00am to 1.00pm by apt only Contact: 09325586 to make an Appointment

 

Kilmurry Parent and Toddler Group.

Takes place every Tuesday morning in the Community Centre from 11am to 1pm. €4 per family. Come along for a cup of tea and a chat while the Children play. All are welcome 

 

Exercise for Women

Exercise classes for women take place every Wednesday morning from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ardnaree.  The group enjoy a chat and catch-up over a cup of tea/coffee after the exercise.  New members welcome.  Ring 096 75573 for more information

 

The Late Hugh Gallagher

The death occurred peacefully on Monday 23rd September at University Hospital Castlebar of Hugh Gallagher Cashel Ayle Westport and formerly of Fiddaun Keenagh. His remains Reposed at St. Aidan’s Room, Islandeady, on Wednesday evening with removal to St Patricks Church Islandeady. Requiem Mass on Thursday and burial afterwards in Kilmurray Cemetery Rakestreet, Crossmolina Hugh is survived by his wife Catherine, son Brendan, daughters Susan, Ann and Marian, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, neighbours and large circle of friends. May he rest in
