Lotto Results

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 22nd June the numbers drawn were 6 – 13 – 23 – 33 no punter matched three number either and six tickets were drawn: Marie Gallagher, Mullenmore, Crossmolina, Ann Marie Loftus, Ballina, Michael and Phil Jordan Enniscoe, Crossmolina, Padraic Whittaker, Riverwalk Crossmolina, Michael and Finola Canavan, Abbeyview, Crossmolina, Donnacha Jordan Gilroy, Lahardane. They each win €25. The draw took place in the Dolphin Hotel. This week’s jackpot is €6,300.

Crossmolina Parish Trip to Tralee.

Balance is now due for the Parish Trip to Tralee in October.  Balance must be paid by 4 July 2019 to Fr Francis/Parish Office. People on a waiting list will be added if payments are not paid in full by due date.

Crossmolina Cúl Camp.

Crossmolina Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps will take place from Monday 29th of July to Friday 2nd of August from 10am to 2:30pm. It is guaranteed to provide boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 13 with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the Summer Holidays. U16 Championship

Ballintubber 7 – 13 Crossmolina 6 – 10
Ballintubber dominated this game throughout the first half racing into a 4 – 3 to 0-7 half time lead with goals from Nathan Gibbons two and one each from Caobhlin Flately and Cillian Joyce. Crossmolina rowed in with points from Diarmuid Walsh three, Brian McKinley two and one from Jonathan Murtagh. The visitors continued to dominate the opening ten minuets of the second half and extended the lead out to eighteen points before Crossmolina woke up and decided to make a game of it scoring five goals in a ten-minuet spell. First Luke Rowland rattled the net with two and one each from Niall Maughan, Niall Coggins, Brian McKinley to reduce the lead to just three points in a frantic last ten minutes. The scores ebbed and flowed. Noah Corbett grabbed his sides seventh goal. Mayo Cancer Support Organisation

Mayo Cancer Support (Rock Rose House) operate a free counselling/therapy service every Tuesday from the Ballina Family Resource centre. Ring Jean on 0872804164 to book an appointment.

Cash for Clobber at Ballina Family Resource Centre

If you are clearing out your home please drop the clothes, shoes, bags etc into the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Abbey Street, Ardnaree. We are doing a Cash for Clobber Fundraiser for the Centre. Your support would be greatly appreciated. If you need bags we have some in the centre, just drop in and collect them. For more info call 096 75573.

Mindspace Outreach service in Ballina FRC

Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety.  The outreach service will run one day a week (Monday) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. June outing took place in Ballina Golf Club on Wednesday 19th June. 26 Golfers played. The Winners were Best Overall Michael McNamara

Nephin Festival

The Summer season of events kicks off next Saturday night (July 6th) with the Rare Tulip alternative beauty & talent contest in Hiney’s Upper Deck. All Tulips are busy getting ready for the night with special guest, Mr. Pussy. A great night of fun and laughter guaranteed. The Summer brochure is now available locally and online at the festival website. Tickets for the Liam Lawton concert on sale in Centra, Gala and the Parish Office, and Queen Tribute concert tickets are available in Londis, Maughan’s Bar and online at Ticketmaster.  We hope you enjoy this year’s Nephin Festival. We are looking for a volunteer to cover Crossmolina Tourist Office over the Summer weekends 10.00hrs. – 14.00hrs. Saturday and/or Sunday.

Joanne Wins Bronze.

Congratulation to Joanne Loftus, Carrowkilleen who won a Bronze Medal in the 1500m in the prestigious Tailteann Games in the Morton Stadium, Santry on Saturday week. Joanne as reigning Connacht 1500m Schools Champion a student of Gortnor Abbey Secondary School and member of Moy Valley Athletic Club. She was among the three top post-primary schools’ athletes from each province invited to the games. Her performance in those games has earned her an invitation to run for Ireland in Schools International in Swansea on July 20th. Her many supporters wish her the very best of good luck in Swansea.

U12 League

Crossmolina U12 team played a very exciting draw in County League on Monday last against Ardnaree at Sean Duffy Park. The final score Crossmolina 5 – 17 Ardnaree 6 – 14. Crossmolina Team; Darragh Duffy, Sean Heffernan, Esmond Maughan, Patrick Mulligan, Joey Keane, Dylan McHale, Dylan Flynn, Kobe McDonald, Ethan Reilly, Luke Maloney, Liam Clancy, Tom Gough, Aaron Keane, Joseph Loftus Jack O’Reilly. 

Conor and Rachel Star for Mayo

Well done to Conor Loftus on a fine display for Mayo last week against Down in Newry in round 2 qualifiers scoring 1 – 4 and Rachel Kearns who stared for Mayo Lady’s in their draw with Galway in the Connacht final in Castlebar scoring 1 -2. Both are wished the best of luck, Conor this weekend against Armagh in Castlebar and Rachel in the replay on Sunday in Tuam.
