Our Sincere Thanks.
The year 2020 will be a year we will all want to forget. This pandemic has presented us all with many challenges. The familiar pattern of community and family support has been affected. Limitations have been imposed on us and our entire way of life has been turned upside down. What kind of Christmas will 2020 be? It will be different but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to be special. Many people have decided not to focus on presents and the lavishness that Christmas brings but to celebrate it in the true spirit of the Christ Child. In some ways the Covid-19 restrictions can open up greater opportunities for prayer and for reflection, for family time and space to enter into the true meaning of Christmas. This Christmas it is not possible to thank people individually. So many volunteers became involved in planning, preparing, cleaning and sanitising our churches so that they would be safe secure places for public worship. So many has helped in all areas of parish life & community. We thank you all sincerely. The Irish Bishops said recently “It is a clear illustration that religious faith is not just about believing but also about belonging in a local community, that significant network of relationships which indicates that people are there for each other. We wish you every blessing for your health and happiness, stay safe and look after one another. Have a very happy Christmas. Fr Francis and Fr Gabriel.
