There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 29th June. The numbers drawn were 5 – 25 – 27 – 32 Margaret and Eamon Howley, Carrowcloughy, Crossmolina matched three numbers and won €150. The draw took place in Maughan’s Bar. This weeks Jackpot is €6,450. U16 Championship
Crossmolina got off to a great start with two goals in the opening ten minutes from Diarmuid Walsh and Eoin O’Boyle. Ballinrobe’s Jamie Walsh who was in sparkling form struck over five points and Gary Mellett raiding up from defence to score a goal. Diarmuid Walsh and Luke Rowland tacked on further points for Crossmolina but Alan Flannery and Jamie Treacy gave the home side a two points advantage at the break with points each 1-7 to 2-2. Ballinrobe stretched that lead with three points in the opening minutes of the new half. Then Jonathan Murtagh cut through the hosts defence to crack the ball into the net, minutes later Niall Coggins was upended in the square and Jonathan Murtagh drove the resulting penalty into the corner of the net. With Gary Mellett grabbing two goals and Alan Flannery, Jamie Walsh and Jamie Treacy rowing in with points, the south Mayo boys took control and ran out comfortable winners in the end by seven points 3-14 to 4-4 Crossmolina Team: Conor Reynolds, Conor Howley, Darrgh Syron, Eoin O’Boyle 1-0 Mickie Maloney, Niall Maughan, Micheal Gill, Jonathan Murtagh 2 – 0 Luke Rowland 0-1 Brian McKinley, Niall Coggins, James Williams, Conal Carolan, Diarmuid Walsh 1-3 Darrgh Deane. Dementia Dance Club
Community Action on Dementia is a FREE dance club for people living with dementia and their families/carers. It is held in the Ballina Family Resource Centre every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.00 pm. Light refreshments served. Ring Francis on 086 836 6312 for more info.

Crossmolina junior team were unlucky to lose out to Hollymount/Carramore in Carramore on Sunday week. With the sides level at the break the hosts drove on and carved out a three points 0 – 11 to 0 – 8 win and gain two precious league points. Vintage Show
The Mayo North Old Engine and Tractor club Annual Field day will take place on the grounds of Enniscoe House on Sunday 21stJuly. This year marks their 20th Anniversary. The show will feature model toy display the Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter, Steam Engines, live Music with Seamus Moore and Pat’s Country Roadshow along with working demos and vintage displays.

Everyone involved put in a fantastic effort to make it an extremely enjoyable time for the youth of our community. Well done to all.
