The Late Paddy McAndrew
The death occurred peacefully on Monday 6th August at his residence of Paddy McAndrew 87 St Marys Park Crossmolina and formerly of Doobeha Moygownagh Ballina. His remains reposed at his residence. Requiem mass on Thursday in St Tiernans Church with burial afterwards in Moygownagh Cemetery. Paddy is survived by his by sister Mary O’Meara, nephews Jerry O’Meara, Richard O’Meara, nieces Marie Carr, Margaret Barrett, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, friends, and neighbours my he rest in peace
World Meeting of Families- Opening Ceremony
Event: Opening Service of Prayer
· Location: St Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina
· Date & Time: Tuesday 21 August @8pm
· Details: This Opening Service of Prayer will involve all parishes in the diocese. Every parish will carry a banner and will be involved in all the prayers. A reflection will be lead by 20 young people on the Road of Life using shoes. Our Petition Box will be carried with a large hand woven globe, representing our connection to each other across the universe. All parishes are invited to attend.

Ironman Barry
Well done to Barry Loftus Mullenmore Crossmolina and Strand Fitness Ballina who competed in the gruelling Ironman events in Estonia recently. This was Barry’s seventh time competing in the event in which he returned a very commendable time of 10 hours and twenty six minuets
