Kilmurray Parents and Toddler group meet every Tuesday morning in the Community Centre from 11am to 1pm. It is a lovely social occasion and meeting place for the mothers and children
Desmond Lynn RIP.
The death occurred peacefully on Monday 7th January at Mayo University Hospital Castlebar of Desmond Lynn in his 88th year Mullenmore North and formerly of Shanvolahan and Blackrock Nursing home Foxford. His remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Wednesday evening with removal to St Tiernans church. Requiem mass on Thursday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina cemetery. Desomond was predeceased by his sister Pauline brother Ambrose is survived by his brothers John. Joe Mullenmore and Frank Dublin sisters – in – law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 5th December. The numbers were 1 – 14 – 20 – 28 no punter matched three number and 6 tickets were drawn, Fiona Hopkins Ballina, Michael Sheridan Keenagh Ballina, Anna Herbert Rathnamagh Crossmolina, Bryan McEntee Cavan, Eithne and Colin Cosgrove Deerpark Crossmolina, Colm and Julie Reilly Castlehill each win €25. The death occurred peacefully at her residence on Sunday 6th January of Maureen Murphy nee McHale 96 St Marys Park Crossmolina. Her remains reposed at Hineys Funeral home on Tuesday evening with removal to Tiernan’s Church Crossmolina. Requiem on Wednesday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Maureen was predeceased by her husband J.J. daughter Patricia, sister Josephine and brothers Kevin and Seán, survived by her sons Tony and John, sisters Agnes, Cathy, Ann, Pauline, Joan, Martina and Carmel, brothers Seamus, Gerard and Thomas, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace

The Death occurred peacefully on Sunday 30th December of Angela Kilcawley nee Gill (Beaumont, Dublin and formerly of Crossmolina in the loving care of the staff at Beechlawn Nursing Home, Drumcondra and surrounded by her family. Her remains reposed at Beechlawn Nursing Home Grace Park Road Drumcondra on Wednesday evening with removal to the Church to the Holy Child, Whitehall on Thursday morning for Requiem Mass followed by burial in Dardistown Cemetery. Angela was pre deceased by her husband Frank, sister May New York, brothers Sean Sligo, Tony Mullenmore St Crossmolina, Tiernan Ballina is survived by her family Mary Flynn, Angela Donohoe, Brian, Jennifer Moroney, and Betty Cullen and a devoted grandmother to Niamh, Liam, Eoin, Siobhán, Éadaoin, Martin, Cathal, Sinéad and Aoife. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons – in – law Fergus, Martin, Kevin and Damian, daughter-in-law Mary, sisters – in – law Maura and Christine, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Irish Rural Link are offering this free course to farmers with the overall aim to get more farmers online. The course covers the following topics: using the Agfood website; Farmer registration; Herd profile; Calf registration; Online movement of animals, Applying for a Compliance Certificate, Computer literacy; Internet search; Email; and Online banking. The programme is designed for Farmers who have never used the internet. The training is over 5 weeks 2hr / week. The course is held in the Crossmolina Enterprise Centre. Irish Rural Link are running a free computer course called ‘Getting Citizens Online’ in the Crossmolina area. It is designed to help beginners gain basic digital skills for everyday life. Exercise for Women.
Exercise classes for women take place every Wednesday morning from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon in the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ardnaree. The group enjoy a chat and catch-up over a cup of tea/coffee after the exercise. New members welcome. Ring 096 75573 for more info.

The Parent & Toddler group takes place every Thursday from 10.30am to 12.00 noon in the centre. This group is open to all parents, Grandparents and childminders to come along with their child/children and meet new people over a cuppa and a chat. The death occurred peacefully at his Residence on Friday 4th January of John Nallen Cullies Co Cavan formerly of Crossmolina and late of Ulster Bank. His remains reposed at McMahons Funeral home Farnham Road Cavan on Sunday evening. Funeral Mass on Monday in the Cathedral of St Patrick and St Felim followed by burial in Cullies Cemetery. John was predeceased by his brothers Fr Jim and Mick is survived by his wife Maura, son Padraig daughter Maureen, daughter – in – law Peta, son – in – law Ben, sisters – in – law, brothers – in – law, nephews, also the Conroy, Nallen and O’Reilly families and his many neighbours and friends.
