Crossmolina minor team suffered defeat against neighbours Ardmoy/McHale in the County minor League at Tiernans Park on Sunday of last week. The visitors lead at the break 0 – 8 to 0 – 3 with points from Lee Traynor and Shane Finnerty among other forwards for Crossmolina Keelan Hegarty scored the three points. Just after the break Keelan Hegarty scored a goal it was score for score for the next 20 minuets with Edward Gough Robert Murphy and Adam Langan pointing for the Deel-Siders. The Late Phil Kenny
The death occurred peacefully on Sunday 8th April at the Moyridge Nusing Home Ballina of Phil Kenny Massbrook Bofeenaun. Her Remains reposed at Leonards Funeral Home on Monday evening with removal to St Patricks Church Laherdane. Requiem mass on Tuesday burial afterwards in Addergoole Cemetery. Phil, predeceased by her husband Mike Joe and son-in-law Kevin Haran. Deeply mourned by her loving daughters Marie Haran (Crossmolina),Teresa McGovern (Robeen), Carmel Kearns (Crossmolina), sisters Peggy O’Donnell Terrybaun and Sally Geraghty Manchester, brother Patrick Reape London sons-in-law, grandchildren and great- grandchild, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

The Late John Mulkearns
The death occurred Peacefully on Friday 6th April at Mayo University Hospital Castlebar of John Mulkearns Mullenmore North Crossmolina and formerly of Ratharny Co Westmeath. His remains reposed at his residence on Sunday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church. Requiem Mass on Monday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. John was predeceased by his son Kenneth and sister Peggy Murray is survived by his wife Breda, sons John Andrew (Dublin), Damian (Letterkenny), daughters-in-law Lorna and Sarah-Ann, adoring grandchildren Andrew, Rebecca, Hugo, Clíodhna, Dáithí, Enya and Eilis, sisters Maureen Mulkearns Bromley England, Betty Ryan Rathwire, Josie English Swords , Kathleen Shaw Ratharny, Eileen McElhenny Portrane Dublin and brother Pete Ratharney , sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends. The Singing Pubs returns for the 3rd and final year starting on April 21st in The Thatch. Crossmolina Deelrovers are delighted to host this event, which is developed to show how exercise and good nutrition can promote positive mental health and wellbeing within rural communities. Speakers include – Andy Moran (Exercise and its importance to the individual), Caroline Brosnihan (Importance of Nutrition for a Healthy body and a Healthy mind) and Neil Douglas (Impact Yoga and Stretching can have on all generations) This is a community event and everyone is welcome!
