Crossmolina Festival Group will host a Drive in Bingo on Fri. Aug. 7th at 7pm, venue is Gortnor Abbey and total prize money is €2000. Car passes which include a free single bingo book are on sale in local shops, for details and online payment options call 086 264 8495.
Nephin Festival.
The Festival Group would like to thank everyone that took part, assisted with or donated prizes to the 2020 Nephin Festival. The festival was very different but close on 35,000 people joined in at some stage over the five days from all corners of the world via the festival’s social media platforms. The video clips are still available to view online and for those who do not have access to social media the festival will try to ensure they are available on you tube etc. Plans for any Halloween events are on hold and whether they go ahead will depend on the ongoing public health guidelines. North Mayo Minor League.
Crossmolina minors came out on top with a hard earned on point win over neighbours Ardmoy/McHales at Tiernans Park on Friday week 4 – 14 to 6 – 7 The hosts got off to the perfect start with a Diarmuid Coggins goal Michael Gill quickly pointed Diarmuid Walsh tacked on 1 – 3 and Luke Rowland also pointed Jack McHale Cathal Finnerty grabbed goals Oisin Carolan Jack McHale and Barry Gaughan pointed to leave it 2 – 5 to 2 -4 at the break. With the scores coming thick and fast Luke Rowland Diarmuid Walsh Jonathan Murtagh Niall Coggins Cillian Fergus all contributed to the score board for the hosts Ardmoy/McHales John McDonnell Jack McHale grabbed goals to edge their side in front entering the last five minuet’s Diarmuid Walsh tied the score and Luke Rowland late free secured a deserved win on a damp evening

Crossmolina over came a stiff challenge in this second round north Mayo Junior B league tie away to Knockmore on Sunday week. In a closely contested first half Crossmolina lead by a point with points from Tommy Loftus two and one each from Robert Murphy Conor Caden and Michael Gallagher Knockmore’s scorers were Thomas Burke and Mick Lowther both from 45’s Crossmolina can thank David O’Boyles brilliant penalty save from Thomas Burke just before the break. The visitors dominated third quarter scoring 1 – 4 without reply Conor Rowland Conor Caden points each Lorcan Loftus goal and two points from Gerard Haran Knockmore tagged on six points in the last quarter two from Cian Brogan and four from Thomas Burke in between Derek Hegarty grabbed two points and Shane McKinley one to secure the win. Crossmolina defence were well tested in the last quarter and they all played a significant part in securing the points

Both sides played their best football when they played into town end goal and against the light breeze in St Tiernans Park in this second round Michael Walsh Intermediate league In a game that their was no real urgency Crossmolina put three scores on the board from Fionan Duffy before Stephen Coen opened his sides account in the tenth minuet Denis Kelly and Darren Coen followed with points each Crossmolina dominated the second quarter with a string of points from Cathal Carolan Fionan Duffy Brian Benson two Conor Loftus and Fionan Duffy again The south Mayo side scores came from Patrick Ferrick strode up from wing back kick a point from play and Darren Coen pointed a free to leave the half time score 0 – 9 to 0 -5 in favour of the Deel-siders. Hollymount/ Carramore were a Different side after the break they wiped out their four points Deficit to take two points lead with points from Darren Coen Conor Heneghan two each Kevin Ferrick and Stephen Coen one each Brian Benson pulled one back but Enda Maloney restoring his sides advantage with a point Dean Loftus and Darren Coen swapped points Fionan Duffy and Darren Coen did likewise Sub J.P. Crossmolina Day Centre:
After much consideration The Day Centre will remain closed for the time being. We are monitoring government guidelines on Covid-19 and hope that as soon as there is an opportunity we will reopen for Bingo and Knitting. We are all looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Mayo Centre for the Unemployed
Ballina will re-open to the public on the 4th August 2020. Services we provide, typing, photocopying, letters CV’s etc. The Centre looks forward to welcoming back all our customers.
Welcome back to Mass Guidelines
Before you arrive
· Make sure that you have no temperature or any symptoms of Covid 19.
· Have your own mask.
When you arrive
· Sanitising machines are available in all Church Porches
· Three people in every second seat.
· 2 Couples or a Family per seat
· Extra people can listen in their car outside Church.
· Boxes will be placed at entrance of the Church for contribution envelopes.
During Mass
· Keep kneelers up / Stay sitting or standing
· Practise good cough and sneeze etiquette
Instruction for Communion
· Priests and ministers must sanitise their hands before and after distributing Holy Communion
· The priest/minister must wear protective face-covering for the distribution of Holy Communion. (HSE guidelines)
· Holy Communion will be distributed in the hand only for the foreseeable future after Mass.
· People will be invited to approach Holy Communion at the end of Mass in single file, by seat row, and maintaining a two meter distance.
· People will be asked to leave the Church gradually after receiving communion and encouraged not to gather outside.
Participation over the week is encouraged rather than having everybody turn up on Sunday.

Stewarts are asked to be in Church 20 minutes before Mass to show people to their seats. Extra volunteers needed for weekday Masses. Volunteer forms are available in Sacristy for signing.
