During The Bealtaine Festival, Crossmolina Library will host An Arts and Craft Workshop for adults. Design your own Felt Brooch and also card making with Elsa. No charge. Thursday 10th May at 11.00am – 12.30pm. Summer Reading challenge for children is starting on the last week of June. Well done to Keith Hopkins who was a member of Mayo junior Panel who came on as a Sub in Last Wednesday’s dramatic one point win over Roscommon thanks to Ciaran Boylan’s goal deep into injury time. Also to Peadar Flynn who is a selector with the team. They now play Leitrim this coming Thursday evening in Carrick – on – Shannon.

Charletown ran out comfortable winners of this Division 4 League tie at O’Hara Park on Sunday of last week with sharp shooter like Paul Ward Paul Mulligan Mark Caffrey and Tommy Drudy all raising white flags and Penalty from Cian Craig just before the break that left the score 1 – 7 to 0 – 4 all Crossmolina scorers coming from Gerard Haran the trend continued in the final 30 minuets with East Mayo side tacked on a further eight points to four for the visitors three from Thomas McNulty and one from Liam Donohoe to leave the final score 1 – 15 to 0 – 8

Festival News.
One of the highlights of this year’s festival will be a very special Homecoming Concert as Marc Roberts brings his critically acclaimed award winning show “A Tribute to the Music of John Denver” to Crossmolina on July 19th. Marc’s tribute is a journey through John Denver’s life and music. This will be Marc’s first time to perform a full concert in his hometown since representing Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997. Tickets will be on sale locally and on Ticketmaster from May 21st. Another highlight of the festival will be a special “Shop Local” promotion and any businesses would like to participate are reminded that the closing date is tomorrow, Tuesday May 8th, call 087 4113252 for details. The 2018 Homecoming Festival and Crossmolina Summer Brochure will be launched on Sunday June 17th.
Vision 2025 Crossmolina
We would like the leaders of voluntary and community leaders to attend meeting in the Enterprise Building on Monday 14th May at 8pm. To discuss “Vision 2025 Crossmolina” It is important that groups come together for this project to develop Crossmolina over the coming years
Killocraun Celebrations.
Killocraun 120 Years A day of celebration, nostalgia and fun is planned for Sat 30 June in Killocraun NS to mark 120 years of our school. There will be opportunities on the day to meet with past teachers and pupils as well as to browse old roll books, text books and photos. We look forward to meeting our past pupils, neighbours and friends for a trip down memory lane.
As part of this celebration a new publication is planned. We would love to hear from those who would like to share a memory, photo(s), and / or write an article or poem for inclusion in this publication.
