Died in London.
The death occurred suddenly on Saturday 17th February of Pat McHugh in Wildson London and formerly of Enaghbeg Crossmolina. Removal tomorrow evening Tuesday to the Five Precious Wounds Catholic Church Stonebridge Burial will take place in Kindson Rise Cemetery after requiem on this Wednesday 14th March. Pat was predeceased by his wife Margaret is survived by his daughters Martina and Deirdre, son – in – law pierce, grandchildren, sisters Evelyn Conway Eskeragh, Rita O’Donnell Dooleeg, and Martina O’Donnell London, nieces, nephews, relations, extended family, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS.
Festival brochures are now available in all local shops etc, the Festival Of Lights, March 16th – 18th includes a full weekend of events incl. 5k Run, Light Parade, Sports Event, Table Quiz plus Music & Dancing. The public are urged to note that there will be traffic delays in Crossmolina on March 17th from 6:30pm – 8:00pm due to the Electric Light Parade which this year will be recorded for TV broadcast. Crossmolina National School won their section of North Mayo Mini Sevens football after great final with Killala at a sunny St Tiernans Park after all the harsh weather of late. The sea siders lead at the break 1 – 3 to 1 – 2 James McLoughlin grabbing Killala’s goal and Josh Moyles raised the green flag Crossmolina Kobe McDonald and Oisin Deane pointed for the home side with Sean Walsh with two and Michael Nealon one the points scorers for Killala. Two Kobe McDonald points in quick succession after gave his side the lead and Oisin Deans 1 – 2 helped Crossmolina into a six points advantage Sean Walsh and Ray Murphy reduced lead with points each which was wiped out by a Luke Williams Goal after great approach work both goalkeepers made a couple of great saves over the course of the game. Crossmolina second team were unlucky to be edged out by a point in their opening game against Carn Garranard on a 3 – 2 to 3 – 1 score line the team and scorers were John Sharkey Luke Williams Ronan Walsh Tom Gough 1 – 1 James O’Boyle 1 – 0 Ethan Reilly James Loftus Esmond Maughan Ronan Connor Joey Keane 1 – 0. In their second game a much stronger Ballycastle side ran out comfortable winners final score 2 – 7 to 0 – 3 with Joey Keane James O’Boyle and Esmond Maughan the point scorers for the Deel-Siders
