The Late Padraic Barrett
The death occurred peacefully on Monday 18th November at his residence of Padraic (Patrick) Barrett Glenisland, Castlebar, Co. Mayo and late of Derreen, Keenagh. His Remains reposed at Glenisland Presbytery on Wednesday evening. Requien mass on Thursday in the Holy Rosary Church Glenisland with burial afterwards in Glenisland Cemetery. Padraic is survived by his wife Ann, sons Noel, Fenton, Kevin, Declan, Raymond and Damien, daughter Linda, brothers Jack (Derreen) and Michael (Glenisland), daughters-in-law Anne (Staunton), Siobhan (McManamon), Bernie (Kearns, Manulla) and Yvonne (Heneghan), grandchildren, sister-in-law Judy and Tec, brother – in – law Paul Coyne nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Mindspace Outreach service in Ballina FRC
Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety. The outreach service will run one day a week (Monday) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. U21 Championship.
Crossmolina finished up their U21 Championship round robin section with a one point win over Naomh Padraic at Tiernans Park on Sunday week 0 – 12 to 1 – 8 Crossmolina lead at the break by two points thanks to free taking of Edward Gough who accounted for five points and Colm Hegarty one from a 45m. Niall McDonnell Rory McGuire and Cian O’Dea replied for the Sea-Siders. Ciaren McDonnell Sean McLean pointed from play after thirty seven minuets to level the scoring Conor Caden scored an inspiring point after 50m run Sean McLean then notched 1-3 in the space of six minuets on the three quarter hour mark Crossmolina fought back with points from Robert Murphy and Edward Gough two each before Robert Murphy pointed his side into the lead deep in injury time for deserved one point win. Which in the end was not good enough to go through to the Semi-finals loosing out on scoring difference in the end

The Death occurred peacefully on Tuesday 19thy November of Chrissie Wherley The Boreen Crossmolina Crossmolina and late of Riverview Nursing Home Ballina. Her remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church. Requiem Mass on Friday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Chrissie Niece of the late Julia Munnelly (The Boreen), deeply mourned by her loving sisters Gertie Donnellan (Dunmore), Doris Kedian (Ballyhaunis), niece Cathy Flynn (Ardagh), brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, friends and neighbours. Ardmoy/McHales 1 – 11 Crossmolina 1 – 10
Crossmolina had much the better of the early exchanges but poor shooting was to proof costly leading by four points entering the last five minuets the hosts snatched 1-1 from Shane Finnerty to leave just a point separating the sides at the break 1-6 to 1-5 Lorcan Loftus finishing the ball to the net after it came back of the post for Crossmolina. After the break Crossmolina tacked on three points inside five minuets from Edward Gough Conor Caden and Darragh Gill a head injury to Jordan Flynn which resulted in concussed denied the Deel-Siders valuable leadership and for the remaining 25 minuets could only manage to score one more point from Patrick McAndrew and Adrmoy/McHale drove on scoring six points from three from Enda Flanagan one each from Darragh Walsh Lee Traynor and Shane Finnerty to gain two valuable points in this very well contested U21 Championship group
