National Schools Final

Two goals in the opening ten minuets from Lenny Gilbert and James Ivers was not the start the Crossmolina National School wanted against Belmullet in this north B Final in Cill Chomain Last Friday week. Crossmolina came back with a Oisin Deane Point and Dylan Flynn grabbed a goal and Nathan Lynch a point before  Anthony Barrett and  Conor Walsh tacked on points to leave the half time score 2-2 to 1-2 Anthony Barrett quickly increased the lead with a point. Crossmolina were very much on top in this period James O’Boyle drove over a point Kobe McDonald added another before Belmullets Charles McDonagh struck a vital goal for his side Crossmolina kept up the pressure but their tendency to go for goals when points were their for the taking and the Belmullet’s defence kept the goal intact until late in the game when Dylan Flynn weaved his way past a couple of defenders to plant the ball in the net, but it was too little too late and the Erris Boys hung on for a two points win 3-3 to 2-4
