Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 30th June. The numbers were 3 – 10 – 21 – 28 two punter match three numbers Anne and Vincent O’Malley Keenagh Ballina and Marian Howley Glencreevy Crossmolina. They each win €75 The draw took place in Hiney’s Bar. This weeks Jackpot is €10,200. Many thanks for all your support 

 

Keenagh Festival 

All roads lead to Keenagh on the weekend of July 13th to 15th as the local Community celebrate the. Centenary of the Church of the Holy Souls Celebrations commence with Opening Ceremony in the Church at 8pm on Friday evening followed by Music and Dancing with The Bumble Bee and local musicians in the Marquee and a display from Atlantic Rhythm. At 2 pm Saturday its Family Day with Novelty sports, bouncy castle and heritage events At 7 pm we remember the dearly departed from our area at the annual cemetery mass in Kilmurray. The night rounds off with BBQ and dancing to Medicine Bow in the Marquee at Keenagh School. At noon on Sunday there is the Christy Murphy commerative walk around Drumleen Lake. The highlight of the weekend is the Centenary Mass concelebrated with Bishop Fleming and Clergy at 3 pm with the Centenary Dance held on the Sunday night in O’Malleys Crossmolina with Music by Irish Eyes 

 

U16 E Championship

Crossmolina staged a remarkable recovery in the second half of this county U16 E championship at a sunny Achill on Tuesday of last week after being in arrears at the break by 5-5 to 0-4. The Deel-Siders tore into the home side and came out on top in the end by six points 7-10 to 5-10

Mens Shed

All men in the Parish are welcome to join Crossmolina Men’s Shed. Open Monday 7 to 10pm Friday 7 to-10pm and Additional times if members request. Insurance to participate in projects and outing’s Semi Skilled and skilled men required to share their time and skills to all. U12 Summer League

Crossmolina U12 team kept up their good form with a hard earned five points win over Knockmore in a game that ebbed and flowed with the home sides ability to score goals kept them in it to the end. The final score Crossmolina 1-19 Knockmore 5-2

Junior Championship.

Ballintubber 2 – 9 Crossmolina 1 – 6 

Ballintubber emerged winner of this County Junior football Championship round three tie at a sunny at Park on Sunday week. It took Crossmolina 21minuets to register their first score a Liam Donohoe goal. Ballintubber came straight down the field and grabbed two goals in a four minuets spell from Noel Geraghty and James McGing to go in leading at the break 2-3 to 1-1 Crossmolina came more into the game after the break with points from Nigal Caden Darragh Gill Gerard Haran and J.P.Mulhern but the winner also tacked on points from Ray and Noel Geraghty John Duffy and Stephen Broderick to run out comfortable winners in the end

Western Care Thank You.

The recent coffee morning on the 15th June in aid of Western Care Residential Services made a total of €1,139.28 Thank you to all that generously donated, a big thank you to all that baked for this event and to who helped out. A special word of thanks to Davis’s Hiney’s and the social services centre. Thank you for all your helping making this a great success 

 

New Facility At Crossmolina PO.

Crossmolina Post Office are pleased to announce we are getting a new facility whereby customers will be able to download and print state application forms at our office. This is a pilot scheme and there are only 10 0ffices within Ireland getting this service on trial. We are delighted to announce we are the only office to offer this service in Mayo and the official national launch will take place from our office by representatives from An Post and the government. We expect this launch to happen in the coming week and endeavour to keep you all informed of the launch when date is finalised 

 

Scoil Neifinn Bus Service

Notice to parents of national school going children. There is a bus service to Scoil Néifinn National School, Keenagh which leaves Crossmolina at 8.40am and returns at 3.30pm.Enrolment: Names are being accepted for September 2018.
