With Kobe McDonald and Joey Keane on the score sheet with two points each for the hosts in the opening half. Hollymount/ Carramore 2 – 10 Crossmolina 1 – 9
Hollymount/Carramore were deserving winners in this County U17 League tie at Tiernans Park on Monday week after Nathan Gilligan opened the scoring with a point and John Dillon added another point in the opening minutes Jack Naughton goal after seven minutes gave the hosts the lead. The south mayo side tacked on a string of points in between Jack Naughton replied with four points just before the half time break Hollymount/scored a goal to take a two points lead 1 – 6 to 1 – 4 Aaron Coggins pointed minutes into the second half but a Finian Walsh goal after 13 minutes to pushed the lead out to four. Despite the best efforts of Jack Naughton with four points the visitors Matthew Morris Finian Walsh and Ben Sheridan kept the score board ticking over. Patrick O’Malley the Deel-Siders goalkeeper kept score close making a number of wonderful saves over the course of the hour against this top of the table team.
