Crossmolina playing with the aid of the breeze opened the scoring through Gerard Haran after sixty seconds Michael Hession cancelled it out after four minuets Kilmaine struck a crucial goal after twelve minuets from Adam Barrett. Fionan Duffy struck three points with Michael Hession point sandwiched in between. Fionan Duffy pointed two frees wing back Oisin Mullen who made some telling run out of defence scored two points just before the break to leave the home side with a point advantage 1-4 to 0-6 Kilmaine extended the lead to four points after forty Minuets with two points from Michael Hession and one from Jarlath Mullin. Fionan Duffy reduced the lead with two points from Frees. Michael Hession pointed a free and Gerard Haran and Michael Hession trade points after 48 minuets Stephen Duffy and Adam Barrett exchanged points to keep the East Mayo side with a three points advantage Fionan Duffy with two points and Joey Maloney one to leave two points separating the sides entering the last two minuets when up stepped Michael Hession with a clinching goal after some very good approach work to secure two valuable League points after entertaining game on a cold blustery evening in Kilmaine

Crossmolina 2 – 10 Burrishoole 1 -13
Crossmolina snatched a draw with Burrishool with a pointed free from top scorer Thomas McNulty in injury time at McGovern Park on Sunday week. Burrishoole had a greater share of the play but missed a lot of chances. Crossmolina lead at the break 1 – 7 to 0 – 8 the goal from Shane McKinley. Burrishoole kept the score board ticking over with points and Crossmolina’s Declan Gilroy grabbed another goal to keep them in the contest and their were rewarded with the late equalizer for a share of the spoils after entertaining game

The Late Padraic Syron
The death occurred peacefully on Friday 26th April of Padraic Syron Killala Rd Ballina and formerly of Erris St Crossmolina , Kilworth Co Cork and Eyre Square Galway. His remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral home on Saturday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church requiem mass on Sunday with cremation later. Padraic was predeceased by his daughter Anne, is survived by his Sons Conal Cross Co Mayo, Padraic Canada, Eoin Cork, daughter Michelle Cork and their mother Catherine, Eoin’s partner Libertad, grandchildren Saoirse and Liam, brother John Erris St Crossmolina sisters Caithlin Murphy Drogheada, Mary Mulqueeny Sligo, sister – in – law, brother – in – law, nieces, nephews, relations and friends. May he rest in Peace

Crossmolina were control throughout after few early scares goals from Kyle Gallagher Richie Shelly and Patrick O’Malley and a string of points from James Maheady Richie Shelly and Jack Naughton gave then a commanding lead which Seamus Howard replied with a goal and Charles McDonagh tacked on a point to leave the half time score 3-6 to 1-1 James Maheady struck 1-1 and Diarmuid Fox raised a green flag Seamus Howard replied with a point as did Tommy Lee Healy and Patrick Conroy scored his sides second half goal.
