Westport won this relegation Division 4 league play-off comfortably in the end by three points. Crossmolina dominated the opening half and still went in at the break in arrears 0 – 7 to 1- 3 missing at least three goal chances while playing with aid of a stiffish breeze. Oisin Moran and James Gill opened The Westport account with point. Crossmolina’s James Gill and Edward Gough with two points and a goal from Eoin Murphy Westport finished the half with a string of points from Martin Dunne James Gill Daniel McGovern Cian Grimes and Peter Corcoran.
