There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 31st August. The numbers drawn were 11 – 17 – 21 – 30 three punters matched three Numbers. The Late Michael Canavan
The death occurred peacefully on Friday 30th August at Ballina District Hospital of Michael (Mitch) Canavan St Mary’s Park Crossmolina. His remains reposed at Hineys Funeral Home on Saturday evening with removal to St Tiernans church requiem mass on Sunday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina cemetery. Michael was predeceased by his parents Paddy and May sister Josephine, is survived by his brothers Freddie Erris Gardens, Cyril Leeds Gerard Grimsby sister Bernie Dublin, sisters – in – law, brother – in – law, aunt Eileen Manchester, nieces, nephews, relation, extended family, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace
Boxing Season Commences
Ardagh/Crossmolina boxing club will be opening for the new season on Tuesday the 17th September for Registration, spaces are limited with preference given to existing members. Training will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7.30 to 9pm and we hope to see you all there for a lively season.

Agnes was predeceased by her husband John, daughter Kathleen, grand-daughter Caroline, survived by her son Eamon Knockanillaun, daughter Agnes Conway Cornanool Castlebar, daughter – in – law Mary, son – in – law Brian, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece, nephews, relation, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.

Bingo will resume in the Civic Centre on Wednesday 11th September 2.00pm-4.00pm. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back after the summer break, light refreshments served. All welcome.

Ardmoy/McHales dominated the scoring in the opening quarter of this County Minor Championship first round tie in Kilfine on Thursday last with a goal from live wire corner forward Oisin Carolan who crashed the ball to the net past a helpless John Tolan and two points each from Mickie Murphy and Alan Gallagher and Oisin Carolan added a point Conor Caden salvaged one point in the 9th minuet for the Deel-Siders Robert Murphy tacked on another in the fifteenth minuet and two minuets later Conor Caden brought his side right back into the game with a goal of class Ardmoy/McHales defender Kevin Gordan and Mickie Murphy tacked on points before Edward Gough Luke Rowland and Adam Langan each pointed before the break to leave the half time score 1 – 7 to 1 – 5. Adam Langan Edward Gough and Conor Caden gave the Crossmolina boys a one point lead in the 7th minuet Ardmoy/McHale came back with a two goals from Oisin Carolan and Alan Gallagher to give their side a five points advantage in the space of three minuets in the 40th minuet Luke Rowland replied with well worked goal and Jonathan Murtagh Conor Caden pointed before Edward Gough and Adam Gallagher exchanged points tied up score in the 48 minuet 2- 11 to 3-8 Mickie Murphy restored his sides advantage with a point before Sub Tommy Loftus bore down on goal to drill the ball to the net in the 58th minuet. Alan Gallagher and Conor Caden exchanged points and in the 66th minuet Alan Gallagher reduced the lead to one point and Crossmolina survived in a nervy six minuets of injury time claim the spoils in a game of great scores and commitment from both sides on a very cold September evening

Wedding of the Year.
Plans are in place for the Wedding of the year on 16th November next in Crossmolina. A meeting for all the cast & anyone who wishes to be involved & help in this hilarious comedy will be held (Monday) 9th Sept. In the Civic Centre, Crossmolina at 9pm after the Community Council meeting.
